CLINTON, S.C. – Behind a goal by
Nacho Gallego and a stout total team defensive performance led by the play of goalkeeper
Leo Stritter, the Presbyterian Blue Hose (9-3-2, BSC: 2-2-2) defeated the Longwood Lancers (1-9-4, BSC: 0-5-1), 1-0, at Martin Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Jonathan Potter said. "At this time of year, every win is difficult to get. Longwood really tested us and credit to them for a good game plan. I am really proud of our guys to find a way to win and to dig in a keep a clean sheet."
HOW IT HAPPENED
In the 50
th minute, in Presbyterian's offensive third of the field,
Uriel Ferguson made a long throw-in which headed to the mouth of Presbyterian's goal.
Voro Rivera Peris headed Ferguson's throw-in backwards to Gallego at the right post. Gallego put a shot into the back of the net just inside the post for the game-winning goal.
NOTABLES
- Gallego has scored a goal in two straight games moving him into a tie for the team lead with four goals. Gallego's goal was the seventh of his career.
- Stritter came up huge in today's game with seven saves including several diving saves which preserved the shutout for the Blue Hose.
- The shutout was Presbyterian's seventh of the season. This marked the fourth time this season that the Blue Hose have won a game, 1-0.
- Presbyterian finished the game with eight shots and three corner kicks. Gallego led the Blue Hose with three shots. Gerard Lopez recorded two shots. Jose Lado, Niklas Hoener, and Nile Nguidjol each added a shot to Presbyterian's offensive attack.
- Today's victory was Presbyterian's ninth of the season which set a program Division I era record for wins in a season.
