Blue Hose Finish Out Fall Slate at the Big South Championship

FARMVILLE, Va. – The Presbyterian College cross country teams were led by freshman Isabel Whitman and junior William Johnson on Saturday at the Big South Championship. Whitman led the women's team with a 20:28.2, while Johnson finished with a 27:36.1 on the men's side.

Notables
• Freshman Isabel Whitman paced the Blue Hose on Saturday with a 20:28.2 to lead the women's team in the 5k.
• Keyli Gomez posted a 20:54.6 just ahead of freshman Addison Meeker who finished at 21:00.2.
• Caroline Rairigh finished Saturday morning's race with a 21:55.8 just ahead of Julie Covil finished with a 22:15.2. Lili Jaraczewski rounded it out for the Blue Hose with a 22:30.7 for the senior.
• High Point won the women's team title on Saturday as the Panthers Lindsey Ickes took the individual title with a time of 16:45.2.
• William Johnson led the men's team in the 8k with a finishing time of 27:36.1.
• Freshman Kevin Lagat made his Blue Hose debut on Saturday and finished with a 29:44.3
• Spencer Wieters recorded a time of 31:35.3 just ahead of James Marler who had a 31:48.7. Ralph Guerra rounded out the Blue Hose finishes on Saturday with a 36:12.0.
• Charleston Southern wins the men's team led by the Bucs junior Micah Gilpatric who had a 24:04.8.
