The Presbyterian College volleyball team wrapped up its first Big South road trip of the season with a 3-0 setback (22-25, 17-25, 22-25) at Radford inside the Dedmon Center on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Hose were led offensively by Rylee Moorhead with nine kills as she also tallied seven digs in the defeat...

Head to Head...
UNC Asheville leads the all-time DI series with the Blue Hose winning 20 of the 29 prior meetings. PC took last year's meeting from the Bulldogs in five sets from Asheville where Cydni Miller and Rylee Moorhead each led the offensive attack with 15 kills apiece... PC holds a 21-10 all-time lead over Gardner-Webb with the Blue Hose taking the last matchup in straight sets led by Paige Cairns with 13 kills on 28 swings...

Scouting the Bulldogs..
UNC Asheville comes into play on Friday with a 3-11 mark overall including an 0-4 record in league contests. The Bulldogs fell in straight sets last weekend at Upstate and Gardner-Webb. Asheville is led offensively by Kat Cruser with 119 kills along with her 14 aces which also leads the team. Lindsay Springer paces the Bulldogs with 249 assists as Ona Elkins has tallied 138 helpers. Giulia Rodrigues leads Asheville on the defensive end with 212 digs. Nina Finderle leads Asheville in blocks with 35 on the year.

Scouting the Runnin' Bulldogs...
Gardner-Webb comes into the week with a 4-12 record as the Runnin' Bulldogs battle Winthrop on Friday before traveling to PC on Saturday night. GWU picked up league wins against USC Upstate and Asheville last weekend. Kylee Garrison leads the Runnin' Bulldogs offensively with 189 kills as Mikayla Logan has added 128 and Avery Colle has tallied 122 kills on the season. Morgan Hornaday leads GWU with 402 assists. Sophia Bolden leads Gardner-Webb on the defensive end with 216 digs as Garrison has added 154 and Sophia Kotsovolos has totaled 147 digs. Logan leads GWU with 43 blocks.

Hewitt Moving Up Record Book...
Junior Anna Hewitt continues to climb towards 1,000 career digs as the Blue Hose libero has totaled 178 digs for PC thus far in 2022. Hewitt has totaled 942 digs in her Blue Hose career which puts her eighth in the record book just 10 digs out of seventh place. The Alvaton, Ky. native is looking to become the sixth player in the PC DI era to reach the 1,000 dig plateau.

Rylee Moorhead leads the Blue Hose in aces with 22 as Anna Hewitt is tied for fifth in the league with 18 service aces. Abby Sparkman is eighth in the league with 16 aces... Kinsey Bailey has 317 assists on the season which ranks seventh in the conference... Moorhead has 148 kills sitting eighth in the Big South...
