LAST TIME OUT
Presbyterian lost to ECU, 77-57, on the road last Saturday. Four PC players scored in double-figures led by Terrell Ard, Jr. with 13 points while grabbing seven rebounds. Owen McCormack and Marquis Barnett each chipped in with 11 points apiece. Crosby James scored 10 points.
 
NOTES
OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS - This season, Presbyterian ranks 20th in the nation and first in the Big South averaging 16 offensive boards per game. The Blue Hose have recorded two double-figure offensive rebounds games (Carolina University – on November 7 and at East Carolina – on November 12). The Blue Hose grabbed a season-high 18 offensive boards against Carolina University (November 7). Last season, Presbyterian finished 24th in the nation and first in the Big South Conference in offensive rebounds per game, averaging 12.38 offensive boards per game.
 
STEALS AND TURNOVERS FORCED - Presbyterian's defense has forced their first three opponents to average 16.0 turnovers per game.

Last year, the Blue Hose averaged 7.9 steals per game which ranked first in the Big South and 49th in the NCAA last year. This year, Presbyterian is averaging 5.7 steals per game. Trevon Reddish-Rhone leads the Blue Hose with five steals. 
 
COACH FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his fourth season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 52 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks that are coaching their alma maters.

PRESBYTERIAN-UAB SERIES
Wednesday's game will be the first-ever meeting between Presbyterian and UAB. The Blazers are the first of two Conference USA teams that Presbyterian will play this season. Next Saturday, November 26, Presbyterian plays the Charlotte 49ers on the road.

SCOUTING UAB
UAB was the preseason pick to repeat as Conference USA Champions. The Blazers are led by senior guard Jordan Walker, who was the 2022 Conference USA Player of the Year. Walker averages 31.5 points per game this season. Sophomore guard Eric Gaines, who transferred from LSU, averages 11 points and five assists per game. Senior guard Ledarrius Brewer, who transferred from ETSU, rounds out the Blazers' double-figure scorers averaging 10.5 points per game. UAB is coached by Andy Kennedy, who was a former standout player at UAB. Kennedy is in his third season at UAB and he has guided the Blazers to 50 wins and a trip to the 2022 NCAA Tournament during that stretch.
