CLINTON, S.C.  – Behind three double-figure scorers and a solid team defensive performance, the Presbyterian Blue Hose (2-6) defeated the VMI Keydets (2-6), 72-57, in the Templeton Center on Tuesday evening.

Crosby James connected on five three-point field goals on his way to a game-high 18 points. He also dished out four assists.
Trevon Reddish-Rhone with a strong all-around game with 17 points, six rebounds, and six assists.
Marquis Barnett rounded out the Blue Hose double-digit scorers chipping in with 15 points while also grabbing seven rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF – Presbyterian scored the game's first six points behind a three-point play by Reddish-Rhone and a layup by James and a free throw from
Owen McCormack. Presbyterian pushed their lead to 12-4 after a three from James at the top of the key at the 15:52 mark of the half. The Blue Hose led by double figures for the majority of the half including taking a lead of 16 points on a couple of occasions in the half. With 3:21 on the clock, PC led VMI, 42-26, well the Keydets closed the half on an 11-0 run cutting Presbyterian's halftime lead to 42-37.

SECOND HALF – The Blue Hose began the second half on a 10-0 run pushing their lead to 52-37 four minutes into the half. The run began with a fast break dunk by Reddish-Rhone. Barnett and James also scored during the run. A three from the top of the key by James gave the Blue Hose their largest lead at 62-42 with 8:10 left in the game. VMI cut Presbyterian's lead to 13, 70-57, with 54 seconds on the clock, but two free throws by Reddish-Rhone with 44 seconds on the clock closed out the game's scoring.

- Presbyterian finished the game with 34 points in the paint.
- Presbyterian's defense forced VMI into 12 turnovers and limited the Keydets to 20 points in the second half.
- James collected his fifth double-figure scoring game of the season with 18 points. James was 5-for-7 from beyond the three-point arc.
- Reddish-Rhone's 17 points was his second double-figure scoring game of the season and the 25th of his career.
- Barnett's 15 points was his sixth double-figure scoring game this season and the 11th of his career.
- Terrell Ard, Jr. grabbed eight rebounds.
- Houston Jones gave the Blue Hose a spark off the bench with two threes in the first half.
- Presbyterian grabbed 14 offensive rebounds which marked the sixth game this season that the Blue Hose have tallied double-figure offensive boards in a game.
