BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBERS
  • Sophomore guard Rayshon Harrison, who scored a game-high 19 points in Presbyterian's last game at Winthrop last Saturday, leads the Blue Hose and ranks second in the Big South Conference in scoring averaging 17.5 points per game. Harrison averages 3.9 boards and is second on the team in assists at 2.7 per game.
  • Senior forward Winston Hill, who scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds at Winthrop, is second on the team in scoring at 11.2 points per game while leading the team and ranking third in the Big South in rebounding averaging 6.5 boards per game.
  • Junior guard Trevon Reddish-Rhone is third on the team in scoring averaging 9.0 points per game while leading the team in assists at 2.9 per game.
  • Senior guard Brandon Younger is fourth on the team in scoring averaging 6.2 points per game.
  • Sophomore guard Kobe Stewart averages 5.4 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.  Stewart ranks in the top ten in the Big South in steals averaging 1.3 per game.
  • Junior forward Owen McCormack averages 5.0 points.
  • Freshman guard Marquis Barnett averages 7.5 points per game in Big South Conference play.
  • Redshirt freshman forward Terrell Ard, Jr. has started Presbyterian's last nine games.
 
OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS - Presbyterian ranks 34th in the nation in offensive rebounds per game, averaging 12.52 offensive boards per game. The Blue Hose have grabbed at least 17 offensive rebounds in a game seven times this season. Presbyterian collected a season-high 20 offensive rebounds in their first meeting with VMI, November 12. Presbyterian has recorded double-figure offensive rebounds in 20 games this season.
 
STEALS AND TURNOVERS FORCED - Presbyterian's defense has forced an average of 15.48 turnovers per game which ranks 44th in the nation. The Blue Hose average 7.9 steals per game which ranks 63rd in the nation.
 
HARRISON AMONG NATION'S LEADERS IN FREE THROW PERCENTAGE - Rayshon Harrison ranks 31st in the nation and first in the Big South in free throw percentage shooting 87.6 percent from the line.
 
PRESBYTERIAN-USC UPSTATE SERIES – Wednesday's game marks the 33rd all-time meeting between Presbyterian and USC Upstate. The series is tied at 16-16. Presbyterian lost to USC Upstate, 82-72, in their earlier meeting this season at the Templeton Center, January 8. Harrison scored 24 points. McCormack and Younger each contributed 10 points to the Blue Hose's efforts. Presbyterian defeated USC Upstate, 68-59, in their last game at USC Upstate, January 21, 2019.
 
SCOUTING USC UPSTATE – The Spartans enter the game on a three-game losing streak with home losses to Campbell and UNC Asheville and a road setback at Longwood. USC Upstate began Big South Conference play winning five of their first six league games.
 
Senior guard Bryson Mozone leads the Spartans in scoring averaging 15.3 points per game. Freshman guard Jordan Gainey is second on the team in scoring averaging 13.2 points per game. Gainey has connected on 54 three-point field goals while shooting 52.4 percent from beyond the three-point arc.
 
The Spartans rank fourth in the Big South in scoring averaging 71.5 points per game.
 
Dave Dickerson is in his fourth season at the helm of the USC Upstate program.
 
UP NEXT – Presbyterian returns to the Templeton Center for their final homestand of the season. The Blue Hose play Gardner-Webb on Senior Day this Saturday, February 19 at 4 p.m.
