Max Benson claimed Big South Men's Tennis Player of the Week honors for his performance last week as announced by the league on Wednesday afternoon.

Benson is the third Blue Hose player to earn Big South Player of the Week honors this season after sophomore
Sebastian Dominguez (January 19) and junior
Georgije Babic (February 2) captured the league's weekly award earlier this season. Freshman
Dusan Milanovic captured Big South Freshman of the Week honors on January 19. Â

This is the third straight season that Benson has garnered Big South Player of the Week honors. In 2020, he was named Player of the Week on February 12. In 2021, he captured the award twice: February 24 and March 24.

LAST WEEK'S PERFORMANCE
The Albany, New York native posted a 2-1 record in singles last week. Benson defeated Furman's Ivan Mitric in straight sets last Wednesday and Davidson's Maxwell Kachkarov in three sets this past Sunday.

Benson teamed with freshman
Dusan Milanovic to post a win at number one doubles in Presbyterian's 5-2 win at Davidson on Sunday. Benson and Milanovic are currently ranked 49
th in the ITA doubles rankings.

UP NEXT
Presbyterian returns to action with a weekend road trip to North Carolina. The Blue Hose play at Belmont Abbey on Saturday, February 19, and at Queens on Sunday, February 20.
