BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBERS
- Sophomore guard Rayshon Harrison, who scored a game-high 22 points in Presbyterian's win at Radford on Saturday, leads the Blue Hose and ranks second in the Big South Conference in scoring averaging 16.9 points per game. Harrison averages 3.9 boards and is second on the team in assists at 2.7 per game.
- Senior forward Winston Hill is second on the team in scoring at 11.0 points per game while leading the team and ranking second in the Big South in rebounding averaging 6.7 boards per game.
- Junior guard Trevon Reddish-Rhone, who scored 15 points and dished out five assists at Radford, is third on the team in scoring averaging 8.9 points per game while leading the team in assists at 2.9 per game.
- Senior guard Brandon Younger is fourth on the team in scoring averaging 6.3 points per game.
- Sophomore guard Kobe Stewart averages 5.8 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. Stewart ranks in the top 12 in the Big South in steals averaging 1.3 per game.
- Junior forward Owen McCormack averages 5.4 points.
- Freshman guard Marquis Barnett, who scored a career-high 15 points at Radford, averages 8.2 points per game in Big South Conference play.
- Redshirt freshman forward Terrell Ard, Jr. has started Presbyterian's last six games. Ard scored nine points and grabbed four rebounds in Presbyterian's win at Radford on Saturday.
OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS - Presbyterian ranks 27th in the nation in offensive rebounds per game, averaging 12.67 offensive boards per game. The Blue Hose have grabbed at least 17 offensive rebounds in a game seven times this season. Presbyterian collected a season-high 20 offensive rebounds in their first meeting with VMI, November 12.
STEALS AND TURNOVERS FORCED - Presbyterian's defense has forced an average of 15.58 turnovers per game which ranks 42nd in the nation. The Blue Hose average 7.9 steals per game which ranks 65th in the nation.
HARRISON AMONG NATION'S LEADERS IN FREE THROW PERCENTAGE - Harrison ranks 40th in the nation and first in the Big South in free throw percentage shooting 87.4 percent from the line.
PRESBYTERIAN-HAMPTON SERIES – Monday's game will be the sixth meeting between Presbyterian and Hampton, who leads the all-time series 3-2. This will be the fifth consecutive game between the two teams that will be played at Hampton. Presbyterian's last win over Hampton was an 85-70 victory at Hampton, February 11, 2021. Harrison led the Blue Hose with 24 points. Younger scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Kishon Thrash recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Hill scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds. The Pirates won the last meeting between the two teams, 67-65, in the first round of the Big South Conference Tournament, February 27, 2021. McCormack led the Blue Hose with 22 points. Reddish-Rhone scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Harrison scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds. Hill rounded out Presbyterian's double-figure scorers with 11 points.
SCOUTING HAMPTON
- The Pirates are led in scoring and rebounding by senior forward Najee Garvin, who averages 15.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Sophomore Russell Dean, who is from Columbia, South Carolina, is second on the team in scoring at 13.6 points per game.
- Hampton averages 62.3 points while allowing their opponents to average 67.6 points per game.
- Edward Joyner, Jr. is in his 13th season at the helm of the Pirates program.
