Charlotte, N.C. – The Presbyterian College women's basketball team fought back from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to force overtime but top-seeded Campbell took down the Blue Hose 59-56 in the Big South Quarterfinal on Thursday afternoon at Bojangles Coliseum. Fifth-Year senior Jade Compton led the Blue Hose with 19 points as sophomore Maleia Bracone added 16.

Scoring the Game
- Presbyterian and Campbell traded early baskets over the first three minutes before a three from Campbell gave them the 7-4 lead with 6:17 to play in the first. PC used a 5-2 burst to tie the game at nine with 5:09 to go. The Fighting Camels closed the quarter on a 10-4 run to take a 19-13 edge to the second quarter.
- Following Campbell beginning on a 5-2 run, Presbyterian responded with a 9-0 run to even the game at 24 with 3:02 to play in the first half. Campbell scored a pair of buckets down the stretch answered by a Bracone layup to lead us to a 28-26 Campbell lead at the break.
- The Blue Hose came out of the halftime break fast with a 6-3 run to take a 32-31 lead with 5:57 to play in the quarter. Campbell answered with a 6-1 burst to take a four-point edge at 37-33 with 2:25 to play in the stanza. Bracone had a three-point play to cut it to one before a late Campbell bucket gave them the 39-36 lead as we moved to the fourth quarter.
- Campbell used an 11-4 run in the first four minutes to push the lead to 10, 50-40 with 6:16 to play in the quarter. Behind the power of Compton, the Blue Hose scored nine unanswered and cut the deficit to one, 50-49 with 3:13 to go. Campbell connected on a free throw to push the lead to 51-49 before a Compton jumper evened it at 51 as neither team was able to score in the final 90 seconds to force the extra sessions.
- Tionna Carter connected on the first bucket of OT before the top-seeded Fighting Camels went on an 8-3 run to earn the 59-56 victory.

- Jade Compton led the Blue Hose with 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting as she also pulled down seven rebounds. Maleia Bracone added 16 points, seven rebounds, and five steals. Nyah Willis had a team-high three assists. Luana Serranho led all scorers in Thursday's quarterfinal with 20 points as Taya Bolden added 17 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. Svenia Nurenberg had four helpers.

- The Blue Hose shot 44.0% (22-of-50) from the field as Campbell posted a 42.3% (22-of-52) field goal percentage. Campbell connected on five threes compared to four by Presbyterian. The Fighting Camels made 10-of-11 from the foul line and PC was 8-of-12 at the stripe. Presbyterian outrebounded Campbell 31-28 led by Compton and Bracone with seven apiece. PC outscored Campbell in the paint at 30-22. The Blue Hose recorded 15 steals as Campbell had nine.
