SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's wrestling team had their season come to end on Saturday as they competed in the SoCon Championship, finishing 8^th as a team. Bernardino Gomez placed the best for the Blue Hose in 4^th and Khalid Brinkley in the top six.

Gomez started his run against Campbell with a loss but won in the consolation round over VMI with a pin fall. He continued in the consolation bracket with a win over The Citadel by major decision 10-0. He fell in the 3^rd place match to App State by an 8-1 decision, giving him a 2-2 record at the championship.

Brinkley was the other Blue Hose member to finish in the top six at the SoCon Championship with a 1-2 record. He was initially defeated by Campbell by tech fall but won his first consolation round getting past Davidson with a 2-1 decision. His time would come however as he was knocked out in the following round by Gardner-Webb.
