Hess Homers to Lead Softball Past Bucs

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Freshman Morgan Hess connected on her seventh home run of the season to propel the Presbyterian College softball team past Charleston Southern by the score of 4-1 at the CSU Softball Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Charleston Southern scored the game's first run after two hits and a Presbyterian error in the bottom of the fourth inning.
  • Presbyterian answered with four runs on four hits in the top of the fifth inning. Lath Freeman's one-out single to left field scored Layna Johnson tying the score at one. Then, the big blow of the game was a two-out three-run home run by Hess over the center field wall.

  • Kaitlyn Tucker collected a game-high three hits.
