CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's tennis team was ranked
10th in the Carolina Region in the final ITA Regional rankings. This marks the second straight season that the Blue Hose finished the season ranked 10th in the ITA Carolina Region rankings.
The Blue Hose finished the 2022 season with a 14-11 record, including a 4-3 record in Big South play while reaching the semifinals of the Big South Conference Championship.
Under the direction of head coachÂ
John Collins, the Blue Hose posted a 6-2 record at the Templeton Tennis Courts which included a victory over UNC Asheville in the quarterfinals of the Big South Conference Championship.
2022 BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE HONORS
Freshman
Dusan Milanovic was voted Big South Freshman of the Year by the league's head coaches. Senior
Nicholas McKinney was named Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year in a vote by the league's sports information directors. McKinney was also named to the Big South All-Academic team for the second consecutive year.
Milanovic was named First Team All-Conference Singles and he teamed with senior
Max Benson to garner First Team All-Conference Doubles honors. Benson and sophomores
Sebastian Dominguez and
Javier Matos were voted Second Team All-Conference Singles. Matos and Dominguez earned Second Team All-Conference Doubles honors as well.
