In the Spring of 2021 and 2013 seasons, Presbyterian won their first two games. The Blue Hose have never begun a season 3-0.

Saturday's game will be the ninth meeting between Presbyterian and VMI. The Blue Hose lead the all-time series, 5-1-2. The Blue Hose defeated the Keydets, 1-0, in their last meeting which came at VMI last season, September 4, 2021. Presbyterian posted a 3-1 win over VMI in their last meeting in Clinton, S.C., on October 5, 2013.
