Five Personal Records Fall at Queen City Invite

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Presbyterian College men's and women's cross country competed for the first of two meets in 2022 at McAlpine Creek Park on Friday night. The Blue Hose were able to tally five personal records as Addison Meeker, Isabel Whitman, Julie Covil, Samuel Wall, and Spencer Wieters all posted PRs for PC in Friday night's race.

Notables
 • Meeker led the Blue Hose in the women's 5k on Friday with a personal record of 19:55. Whitman also tallied a personal record in the race with a 20:12 in Charlotte.
Keyli Gomez posted a season-best 20:30 in the event just ahead of Lili Jaraczewski who also recorded a season-best at 20:45 on Friday night.
• Covil added to the Blue Hose personal records in the 5k with a 21:25. Caroline Rairigh posted a 21:43 to finish the race off for PC.
• Milligan won the team title in Friday's Women's Invitational race that the Blue Hose competed in. Letzia Martinelli of Queens won the individual title with a time of 17:19.
William Johnson led the Blue Hose in the men's race with a season-best 27:00. Johnson's finishing time on Friday marked his best time since the spring 2021 Big South Championships.
• Wieters posted a personal record with a 29:28 along with Wall who had a 30:32 which was also a PR for the Blue Hose freshman.
James Marler recorded a 31:01, while Ralph Guerra rounded it out for PC with a 34:19 in the 8k.
• Milligan took the men's team title led by Aaron Jones who won the individual title at a time of 24:25.
