Presbyterian Downs Jacksonville 1-0 on the Road

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Behind a first half goal from Lorenzo Nagy and another stout defensive performance, the Presbyterian Blue Hose (7-1-0) collected a 1-0 shutout victory over the Jacksonville Dolphins (3-4-2) on the road on Tuesday afternoon.

"I am proud of our guys for coming out on top today in our fourth straight road game," Presbyterian coach Jonathan Potter said. "I felt our depth played a key role for us in today's win. Our guys really dug in today defensively."
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
In the 26th minute, Presbyterian's Nile Nguidjol blasted a shot from just inside the top of the box that banged off the right goal post. The ball bounded across the mouth of the goal to Nagy who put a shot into the back of the net for the game-winning goal.  Nguidjol was credited with an assist on the goal.
 
NOTABLES
  • Presbyterian's defense limited Jacksonville to three shots on goal while posting their fifth shutout of the season.
  • Goalkeeper Leo Stritter recorded three saves in the game.
  • Nagy's goal moved him into a tie with Gerard Lopez for the team-lead with four goals.
  • Nguidjol's assist was his third of the season.
  • Presbyterian finished the game with nine shots. Lopez tallied a team-leading four shots. Voro Rivera Peris added two shots to the Blue Hose's offensive attack. Nagy, Nguidjol, and Vidar Ragnarsson chipped in with a shot apiece.
