Blue Hose Set to Battle High Point on Saturday Afternoon

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's basketball team returns to the Templeton Center on Saturday for a matchup against High Point set for a 2 p.m. tip on ESPN+.

Opening Tip
- The Blue Hose get back on court on Saturday for a 2 p.m. home matchup against High Point from Clinton. PC looks to get back in the win column following a 90-86 defeat on Wednesday against Gardner-Webb while High Point battled back from 19 points down to earn a 60-57 win over CSU last time out.

Miss it for a Biscuit
- Starting on Saturday and throughout the remainder of the women's basketball home schedule, if an opponent misses two back-to-back free throws in the fourth quarter of a game, fans can get a Free Sausage Biscuit at either Bojangles location in Clinton.

Last Time Out
- Fifth-year senior Bryanna Brady tallied a career-high 29 points to lead the Presbyterian College women's basketball team, but Gardner-Webb withstood a late Blue Hose rally to earn the 90-86 win on Wednesday night at Paul Porter Arena. The Blue Hose battled from down 11, 88-77 with 1:19 but came up short on Wednesday night in Boiling Springs.
 
Scouting the Panthers
- High Point enters Saturday's contest with a 5-10 record including a 3-2 mark in league play after a three-point win against CSU on Wednesday night. Skyler Curran leads the Panthers with 15.5 ppg which includes a team-high 39 threes. Jenson Edwards is averaging 10.3 points/game and Nakyah Terrell is averaging 10.1 ppg. Curran also leads HPU with 5.8 rebounds per contest. Edwards leads the Panthers with 52 assists with Terrell second on the team with 41 helpers.
 
Head-to-Head vs. the Panthers
- High Point holds a 23-7 lead in the all-time series with the Panthers winning two of the past three meetings over the Blue Hose. In the lone meeting last season, the Blue Hose were unable to overcome a 10-point deficit in the opening quarter as HPU defeated the Blue Hose 57-47 in Clinton. High Point has won seven of the last eight meetings with the lone victory coming in the 2020-21 season by the score of 65-56.
 
Brady Filling Up the Basket in League
- Following a career-high 29 points on Wednesday against Gardner-Webb, fifth-year senior Bryanna Brady has scored 15+ points in four of five conference contests highlighted by Wednesday's 29-point performance. Brady is averaging a team-high 17.2 ppg in league play which ranks second in the league. Brady has tallied nine double-figure scoring games overall with four of those happening in league contests.
 
Kierscht Heating Up from Beyond the Arc
- The Blue Hose freshman continues to light it up from beyond the arc especially over the past six games for PC as Kierscht has connected on 23-of-41 threes in the last six highlighted by a season-high six against Winthrop. Kierscht has made a team-high 35 on the season which puts her third in the Big South as she sits in the top 30 nationally in three-point percentage at 43.8% thus far in the 2022-23 season.
 
Sjökvist Racking Up the Helpers
- The Huskvarna, Sweden native continues to rack up the assists over the past six games in particular as she's totaled 37 assists in the Blue Hose last six games including six helpers in four of those contests. Sjökvist sits second in the league and in the top 70 in the nation in assists with 69 as she's also tied for the second in the conference with 4.3 assists/game. She's had seven games this season with 5+ assists.

- Brady sits third in the league with 13.9 points/game... She's also seventh in the conference with 6.9 rebounds/game... The Blue Hose fifth-year senior also leads the league with a 55.0% field goal percentage... Kierscht is third in the Big South with 35 made threes as Mara Neira is tied for fourth with 25 threes and Sjökvist sits seventh with 22 triples... Sjökvist ranks second in the conference with 69 assists and is second with 4.3 assists/game... Brady is second in the league with 19 blocks... As a team, the Blue Hose are tied for second in the league averaging 65.3 points/game... PC is third in the conference with a field goal percentage of 42.3%...
