Women's Basketball Prepares for Wednesday Matchup with Bulldogs

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's basketball team hits the court on Wednesday night for a Big South clash with UNC Asheville from the Templeton Center. The matchup with the Bulldogs is set for a 6:30 p.m. tip on ESPN+.

Opening Tip
- The Blue Hose return to the hardwood on Wednesday for a home date against UNC Asheville from Clinton. Wednesday's matchup with the Bulldogs serves as the final matchup in league play before the second half of the league schedule commences on Saturday.

- Throughout the remainder of the women's basketball home schedule, if an opponent misses two back-to-back free throws in the fourth quarter of a game, fans can get a Free Sausage Biscuit at either Bojangles location in Clinton.

Halftime Honors
- At halftime of Wednesday's game, all student-athletes with at least a 3.0 GPA from the fall semester will be honored during a halftime ceremony. The student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA will also be recognized individually during the ceremony on Wednesday night.

- Anne-Hamilton Leroy connected on a layup with two seconds to play, capping an 18-point rally as the host Longwood stunned the Presbyterian College women's basketball team by the score of 70-68 on Saturday afternoon at Willett Hall. Brady is in the middle of her best season at the college level with 13.5 ppg along with 6.5 rebounds/game and shooting an unreal 54.5% from the field...

Scouting the Bulldogs
- UNC Asheville comes into Wednesday's matchup with a 6-13 mark after a 66-55 defeat on Saturday at the hands of USC Upstate. McKinley Brooks-Sumpter leads the Bulldogs with 11.7 points/game and 6.7 rebounds per contest this season. Jordaynia Ivie who was tabbed second-team all-conference in the preseason is second on the team with 9.6 ppg and has tallied a team-high 42 assists and 33 steals. - The Huskvarna, Sweden native continues to rack up the assists throughout the 2022-23 season as Sjökvist has totaled 80 assists this season including 38 of those coming in eight league games. She sits second in the league and in the top 80 in the nation in assists with her 80 helpers as she's also second in the conference with 4.2 assists/game. She's had eight games this season with 5+ assists.
