ASHEVILLE, N.C.  – Presbyterian had three double-figure scorers led by
Jalen Forrest's career-high 26 points but the Blue Hose (5-17, Big South: 1-8) lost to the Big South Conference co-leader UNC Asheville Bulldogs (16-6, Big South: 8-1), 88-80, in overtime on the road.

Terrell Ard, Jr. recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Crosby James scored 10 points off the bench.

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF – It was a half of scoring runs. Over the first three minutes, the lead exchanged hands several times. With PC leading, 8-6, UNC Asheville scored 11 of the next 14 points taking a 17-11 with fourteen and a half minutes left. A free throw from
Trevon Reddish-Rhone and a jumper in the lane by Stewart got the Blue Hose within three points of the Bulldogs, 17-14. UNC Asheville had a lead of 3-6 points for the next seven minutes. PC trailed UNC Asheville 25-22 at the 7:15 mark, the Bulldogs scored nine straight points taking a 34-22 lead with five minutes left in the half. Then, the Blue Hose behind the scoring of Ard and Forrest scored 10 straight points cutting UNC Asheville's lead to 34-32 after a layup by Ard with 2:26 on the clock. Ard scored seven points during the scoring run. The Bulldogs outscored the Blue Hose 8-2 over the final two and a half minutes of the half taking a 42-34 halftime lead.

SECOND HALF – The Blue Hose began the second half on a 12-2 run taking a 46-44 lead after Forrest converted two free throws with 16:31 on the clock. Â
Marquis Barnett and Ard also scored during the run. Presbyterian after a jumper in the lane by Reddish-Rhone increased their lead to 54-49 with 12:52 on the clock. The Blue Hose maintained the lead for the next four minutes until the Bulldogs went on a 7-0 run taking a 60-58 lead with 8:55 on the clock. Forrest knocked down a three from the wing regaining the lead 61-60. UNC Asheville answered with a score inside retaking the lead, 62-61. Forrest knocked down three free throws giving the Blue Hose a 64-62 at the 7:47 mark. The Blue Hose remained in front for the next four minutes until UNC Asheville tied the score at 69 at the 3:42 mark. Forrest scored in the lane giving the Blue Hose the lead back, 71-69. UNC Asheville scored four of the next six points tying the score at 73 with 1:28 on the clock. Each team had chances to win the game but no one was able to score sending the game into overtime tied at 73.

OVERTIME – UNC Asheville scored the first four points of the overtime period to take the lead for good. At the 2:28 mark of overtime, Barnett scored inside cutting the Bulldogs' lead to 78-75. However, that would be as close as Presbyterian would get to UNC Asheville for the rest of the game.

- Forrest's 26 points marked his seventh straight and 12th double-digit scoring game of the season.
- Ard's 17 points marked his fifth double-figure scoring game of the season.
- Ard recorded his first double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
- James recorded his 11th double-figure scoring game of the season with his 10 points off the bench.
- Presbyterian tallied their 13th double-figure offensive rebounds game of the season with 15 offensive boards.
- This is the second straight meeting between Presbyterian and UNC Asheville that went to overtime.
