Presbyterian had three double-figure scorers led by Jalen Forrest's career-high 26 points but the Blue Hose lost to the Big South Conference co-leader UNC Asheville Bulldogs, 88-80, in overtime on the road.

James, who has scored in double-figures 11 times, is second on the team in scoring averaging 10.5 points per game. James has connected on a team-leading 31 three-point field goals made. Marquis Barnett averages 8.5 points per game and is second on the team in rebounding averaging 5.2 boards per game. Ard leads the Blue Hose in rebounding averaging 5.6 rebounds per game. Ard averages 6.8 points per game. Trevon Reddish-Rhone averages 6.9 points while dishing out a team-leading 2.3 assists per game. Kobe Stewart averages 6.9 points while grabbing 4.1 rebounds per game. Owen McCormack averages 7.8 points and 4.0 rebounds per game while connecting on 29 three-point field goals.
  
NOTES
DOUBLE-DOUBLES - The Blue Hose have had three double-doubles this season. Barnett has tallied two double-doubles: vs. Campbell (December 29) with 11 points and 12 rebounds and at USC Upstate (January 18) with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Ard recorded his first career double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds at UNC Asheville (January 25).
 
FORREST THREE-TIME BIG SOUTH FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK - Forrest has been named Big South Freshman of the Week three times (November 28, January 9, and January 16).
 
BENCH POINTS - Presbyterian behind the double-figure scoring performances from Forrest, Stewart, Houston Jones, and Quadir Pettaway off the bench in the win over Allen (December 19, 2022), the Blue Hose scored a season-high 58 bench points. This marked the most bench points scored by the Blue Hose since tallying 67 bench points in a home win over UNC Asheville on March 5, 2019. In the 2018-19 season, the Blue Hose recorded four games with at least 51 bench points.

This season, Presbyterian has had 17 double-figure scoring games off the bench. The Blue Hose average 21.2 points per game off the bench this season.
 
OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS - This season, Presbyterian averages 11.59 offensive boards per game, which ranks the Blue Hose 72nd in the nation in offensive rebounds per game. The Blue Hose have recorded 13 double-figure offensive rebounds games (Carolina University - November 7, at The Citadel - November 10, at East Carolina - November 12, at UAB, November 16, vs. Bucknell - November 21, VMI - November 29, Elon - December 15, Allen - December 19, Campbell - December 29, January 4, at Winthrop, Charleston Southern - January 7, USC Upstate - January 18, and UNC Asheville - January 25). The Blue Hose grabbed a season-high 20 offensive boards at Winthrop on January 4, 2023.
 
COACH FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his fourth season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 52 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks that are coaching their alma maters.
 
PRESBYTERIAN-WINTHROP SERIES
Saturday's game is the 45th meeting between Presbyterian and Winthrop, who leads the all-time series 31-13. Winthrop has won the last eight meetings between the two teams. Presbyterian's last win over Winthrop was a 99-91 victory at home on January 26, 2019. Winthrop defeated Presbyterian, 82-72, at home in their first game this season on January 4. Ard led the Blue Hose with 18 points in that game.

The Eagles lead the Big South in three-point field goals made per game at 8.7 and free throw percentage at 74 percent. Sophomore forward Kelton Tilford leads Winthrop and ranks fourth in the Big South Conference in scoring at 16 points per game. Talford ranks second in the Big South in rebounding at 8.0 boards per game. Redshirt senior Cory Hightower is second on the team in scoring at 13 points per game. Winthrop averages 72 points per game while their opponents average 73.7 points per game.
