BURLINGTON, N. C. – Presbyterian Blue Hose golfer junior
Jack Wofford became the first PC men's golfer to capture a tournament title since 2013 after shooting a final round of 66 to tally a three-round score of 199 (-14). Presbyterian finished tied with Radford for third place with a three-round score of 838 (-14).
Wofford became the first Blue Hose golfer to capture a tournament title since Carter Davis won the SpringHill Suites Intercollegiate, September 9-10, 2013.
Elon won the tournament with a three-round score of 821 (-31). While Western Carolina finished in second place with a score of 831 (-21).
Notables
In the third round, Wofford's 66 (-5) came after seven birdies and nine pars. Wofford led the field with 20 birdies in his three rounds.
Columb Knight finished in a tie for 24
th place with an even-par 71 in his final round. He tallied a three-round score of 211 (-2). Knight had four birdies and 10 pars on his final round.
Lleyton Renner finished in a tie for 34
th place with a three-round score of 214 (+1) after a third-round of 77. Renner recorded one birdie and 12 pars on his round.
Jimmy McCollum finished tied for 44
th place with a three-round score of 216 (+3). In his final round, he had four birdies and 10 pars on his way to an even-par round of 71.
Ben McKinney posted a third-round score of 75 (+4) with two birdies and 11 pars.
