GREENVILLE, S. C. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose men's golf team finished in 12th place at the Furman Intercollegiate at the Furman University Golf Course. Presbyterian recorded a three-round score of 880 (+28). Senior
Lleyton Renner finished tied for 16
th place to pace the Blue Hose with a three-round score of 213 (E).
Furman won the tournament with a three-round score of 832 (-20). Chattanooga finished in second place with a three-round score of 833 (-19). The top three golfers in the tournament were from Chattanooga led by Paul Conroy who posted a winning score of 205 (-8) to capture the individual medal.
Notables
- In his final round, Renner posted an even-par 70 with five birdies and nine pars on his round.
- Junior Jack Wofford finished tied for 50th place with a three-round score of 221 (+8). In his final round, he posted a 76 (+5) with one birdie and 11 pars.
- Senior Thomas Hollingsworth posted a three-round score of 222 (+9) to finish tied for 56th place. In his third round, he recorded a 75 (+4) with three birdies and 10 pars.
- Seniors Columb Knight and Jimmy McCollum finished tied for 77th place with a three-round score of 228 (+15). McCollum recorded a 73 (+2) on his final round with two birdies and 12 pars on the round. Â Knight had two birdies and nine pars on the way to a final round 77 (+6). Â
