Presbyterian battled Furman to a 2-2 draw on the road on Tuesday, October 17. Junior forward Damorney Hutchinson and sophomore defender Jamari Busby scored goals for the Blue Hose.  In the game, the Blue Hose ended Furman's 409-minute shutout streak.
 
BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBERS
Hutchinson and freshman forward Victor Faaborg Christensen are tied for third in the Big South in goals with his team-leading five. Senior midfielder Carson Griffith is second on the team with four goals. Freshman midfielder Sandro Rabarivony has scored two goals this season. Busby, junior defender Reudd Manin, freshman midfielder Alex Walker, freshman midfielder Jose Gutierrez, sophomore midfielder Chase Kennedy, senior defender Ryan Galloway, and senior defender Jordan Johnson have scored goals this season. Freshman midfielder Diego Hernandez leads the team and is tied for fourth in the Big South with four assists. Faaborg Christensen is second on the team with three assists. Hutchinson and Walker are third on the team with two assists apiece. Hutchinson leads the team with 28 shots. Hernandez is second on the team with 24 shots.

The Blue Hose have scored 23 goals this season with 16 goals coming in the second half. Presbyterian is third in the Big South averaging 1.64 goals per game.

Freshman goalkeeper Beatty Murray has recorded two shutouts this season. He has tallied 30 saves with four wins in goal. Sophomore goalkeeper James Dee has tallied 19 saves this season.
 
BIG SOUTH WEEKLY HONORS
On October 9, Rabarivony was named Big South Freshman of the Week after scoring a goal and dishing out an assist in Presbyterian's 4-2 road win at USC Upstate on October 7. Rabarivony is the eighth player in the program's history to claim the Big South Freshman of the Week award.

On September 25, Murray earned Big South Defensive Player of the Week honors and Faaborg Christensen claimed his second Big South Freshman of the Week award after helping the Blue Hose begin Big South Conference play with a 3-2 road win at UNC Asheville on September 23. Murray is the sixth player in school history to earn Big South Defensive Player of the Week accolades. Faaborg Christensen is the second player in the program's history to earn multiple Big South Freshman of the Week awards. 

On August 28, Faaborg Christensen earned his first Big South Freshman of the Week after recording a hat trick in PC's 8-1 win over Southern Wesleyan.
 
PRESBYTERIAN-LONGWOOD SERIES
Saturday's game marks the 13^th meeting between Presbyterian and Longwood. The Blue Hose lead the series, 8-3-1. In their last game at Longwood, Presbyterian defeated Longwood, 2-1, on October 23, 2021. The Blue Hose recorded a 1-0 shutout win in their previous game against Longwood which came at Presbyterian's Martin Stadium on October 23, 2022.  
 
SCOUTING LONGWOOD
The Lancers enter the game with a 5-5-3 overall record and an 0-4-1 Big South Conference record. Longwood has lost two of their last three games but during that stretch, the Lancers defeated George Washington, 2-1, on the road. Redshirt junior forward Emilio Segovia, senior defender Mason Butcher, and junior midfielder Ethan Stevenson lead the team with two goals apiece.
 
Longwood coach Jon Atkinson is in his 21^st season at the helm of the Lancers program.
