Blue Hose Finished Strong at Ironwood Collegiate Classic, Renner Posts Top 20 Finish

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose men's golf team finished strong with a 284 (-4) final round to finish in tenth place with a three-round score of 871 (+7) at the Ironwood Collegiate Classic in Greenville, N.C. on Tuesday afternoon. Lleyton Renner paced the Blue Hose with a four-under final-round score of 68 to finish tied for 20th.

Florida Atlantic won the tournament with a three-round score of 834 (-30). East Carolina finished second with a three-round score of 841 (-23). East Carolina's Lucas Augustsson posted a final-round score of 71 to claim the individual title after a three-round score of 201 (-15).
 
Notables
  • Renner recorded his second straight Top-20 finish after a third-round score of 68. He had six birdies and 11 pars on his round. He finished with a three-round score of 215 (-1) to finish tied for 20th.
  • Jack Wofford had two birdies and 14 pars for a final-round score of 72 (E). He finished in a tie for 35th place with a three-round score of 218 (+2).
  • Columb Knight and Jimmy McCollum finished tied for 44th place with a three-round score of 220 (+4). McCollum had four birdies and 13 pars on his way to a third-round score of 70 (-2). Knight had three birdies and 10 pars for a final-round score of 74 (+2).
  • Trey Howard posted a three-round score of 239 (+23) to finish in 84th place. He had two birdies and 10 pars on his way to a third-round score of 78 (+6).
