Blue Hose Come Up Short Against Wofford

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose (4-5-1) lost to the Wofford Terriers (3-2-5), 2-0, at Martin Stadium on Tuesday night.

FROM COACH FINOTTI
"I thought for large stretches of the game it was pretty even," Presbyterian coach Nick Finotti said. "Wofford had a couple of moments that they capitalized on. We had good stretches of possession and breaking their lines of pressure. We were just not able to execute which was the difference in the game. A lot of credit to Wofford, they are a good team. They deserved to win tonight. Proud of our guys, I thought we had some good moments tonight."

HOW IT HAPPENED
In the 11th minute, Wofford's Nikolai Rojel shot the ball from about eight yards out, Presbyterian's goalkeeper Beatty Murray saved it but he could not corral the ball. Rojel picked up the rebound and put the ball into the net for the game's first goal.

In the 41st minute, Wofford's Nic Parker scored off an assist from Zakaria Holmen.

Presbyterian had several great scoring chances. In the 22nd minute, Presbyterian's Alex Walker shot from 15 yards out was going just inside the right post but Wofford's goalkeeper Cameron Victor made a diving save.
