Presbyterian Ties Radford On Senior Night

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose (5-8-3, Big South: 2-3-2) in a game that featured four second half goals tied the Radford Highlanders (3-11-3, Big South: 2-4-1), 2-2, on Senior Night in Martin Stadium on Wednesday evening. Before the game, Presbyterian honored seniors Daniel Anani, Ryan Galloway, Luke Gladden, Carson Griffith, Connor Hudson, Jordan Johnson, Alonso Munoz, Lorenzo Nagy, Nile Nguidjol, and Tomas White.
 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • In the 65th minute, Radford scored the game's first goal when Shady Hammam headed in a Mark Silva corner kick.
  • In the 77th minute, Presbyterian tied the score at one when Tomas White blasted a Diego Hernandez corner kick into the bottom left corner of the goal. White's goal was his first of the season.
  • In the 81st minute, Radford regained the lead when Jared Dubose scored off a James Barrett assist.
  • In the 84th minute, Presbyterian's Victor Faaborg Christensen found a streaking Damorney Hutchinson inside the box. Hutchinson blasted the ball into the back of the net tying the score at two. Hutchinson's goal was his team-leading seventh of the season.
  • The Blue Hose kept pressing and nearly scored the go-ahead goal when Hutchinson had the ball on a breakaway but Radford's goalkeeper Alex Eydelman came off his line and made a diving save in the 85th minute to keep the game knotted at two.
 
NOTABLES
  • Presbyterian finished the game with a 15-8 advantage in shots and a 7-3 advantage in shots on goal. Hutchinson led the Blue Hose with four shots. Reudd Manin recorded three shots. Iragi Kalala added two shots to the PC's offensive efforts. Nagy, Griffith, White, Faaborg Christensen, Jamari Busby, and Diego Hernandez chipped in with a shot apiece.
  • Presbyterian recorded five corner kicks in the game.
 
UP NEXT
With the tie, the Blue Hose came up short of making the four-team Big South Tournament so their season has ended.
