PC is Set to Play Final Road Challenges of the Season

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College Blue Hose volleyball team kicks off their final pair of road matches this weekend. First, PC will take on the Radford Highlanders on Friday, November 3 at 6 p.m., followed by a match against the High Point Panthers on Saturday, November 4 at 2 p.m.

A LOOK AT THE BLUE HOSE
Presbyterian starts the weekend tied with Gardner-Webb for third place in the Big South Conference standings, with wins over Charleston Southern, UNC Asheville, USC Upstate (x2), Gardner-Webb, and Radford. Senior opposite Kasey Battle is currently ranked in tenth place in the conference for her hitting percentage after hitting for .235 percent this season. Junior outside hitter Hannah Rowe is ranked sixth in the conference for recording 2.82 kills per set, she is also ranked seventh in the conference for total points per set with 3.32 points per set. Sophomore setter Anna Baranski is ranked sixth in the conference for averaging 4.92 assists per set this season. Senior setter Kinsey Bailey and junior defensive specialist Courtney Aulbaugh are both ranked in the top 10 for service aces per set this season, Bailey is in fourth with 0.36 per set and Aulbaugh is in sixth with 0.34 per set. Senior middle blockers Jordan McAda and Hailey Grocholski are both ranked top 10 in the conference for blocks per set, McAda is in fifth with 1.03 blocks per set and Grocholski is ranked sixth with 1.00 blocks per set. Sophomore libero Sophia Del Valle is ranked third in the conference after averaging 3.90 digs per set.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT – RADFORD
The Highlanders have a 4-16 record going into the weekend with wins over Iona, UNC Asheville (x2), and USC Upstate. Over their first 20 matches of the season Radford has averaged 10.8 kills per set while recording a .112 hitting percentage. The Highlanders stat leaders include Kennedy Robinson who leads the team with 127 kills on the season. Julia Slivka has recorded 321 assists and 17 service aces on the season. Shelby Hernandez leads the team with 269 digs. Sophia Paspal leads the Highlanders in solo blocks with eight and assisted blocks with 32. These two teams played a match earlier in the season where the Blue Hose won with a final score of 3-1. Radford leads the all-time series between the two teams 16-14. The Highlanders are coached by Sherisa Livingston who is in her fourth year as head coach for Radford.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT – HIGH POINT
The Panthers have a 11-0 Big South Conference record going into the weekend after going undefeated since conference play started in September. Over the first 24 matches of the season High Point has averaged 12.5 kills per set while hitting at .241 percent. The Panthers stat leaders include Dylan Maberry who leads the team with 350 kills and 38 service aces, Allie Gray leads with 726 assists, Jordyn Schilling with 330 digs, and BayLea Sparks leads the Panthers in solo blocks with 13 and block assists with 72. These two teams played a match earlier in the season where High Point won with a final score of 3-0. The Panthers lead the all-time series between the two teams 24-4. High Point is coached by sixth year head coach Ryan Meek.
