CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College Blue Hose women's basketball team (5-3) beat the North Carolina Central University Eagles (3-4) with a final score of 76-58.
Tilda Sjökvist led the team with 21-points while
Bryanna Brady tallied 15-points, and
Núria Cunill added 10-points to Presbyterian's efforts.

"Really happy to get the win. I thought we shot it really well from three, we shot it really well from the field. We adjusted well defensively in the second half to keep them off the free throw line. I think we're playing with some confidence and that makes me really excited."
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter – Presbyterian won the opening tip which led to a three-point bucket by Sjökvist. PC scored the next three-points to start out the game with a 6-0 lead. NC Central took the next four-points but PC extended their lead to seven behind a three-point play from
Dennaye Hinds. After some back and forth, the Blue Hose went on a 10-point run led by three-pointers from both
Mara Neira and Sjökvist. The Eagles made two free throws which ended the first quarter in PC's favor with a score of 27-14.
Second Quarter – Cunill started off the second quarter with a second chance layup to give Presbyterian a 15-point lead. The Eagles made two free throws before Sjökvist matched them with a layup. A steal from
Ashley Carrillo then set up a perfect three-point shot for Sjökvist to put the Blue Hose ahead by 18-points with a score of 34-16. NC Central was then able to go on a seven-point run. Not long after,
Christina Kline scored five straight points while she hit her first three-point attempt to make the score 41-25. The Eagles closed out the first half after scoring the last three-points, but Presbyterian held a 41-28 lead at the half.
Third Quarter – Not long into the start of the first half, the Blue Hose went on an 11-point run led by eight-points from Brady and a three-pointer from Sjökvist. The Eagles scored nine of the last 17-points of the third quarter, but PC scored eight-points behind four different scorers to take a 22-point lead going into the final quarter of play.
Fourth Quarter – Kline started off the final 10 minutes of play with a three-point jumper assisted by Sjökvist on a fast break. Not long after, Sjökvist hit a three of her own to give Presbyterian a 27-point advantage, which was their highest lead of the game. The score was 70-46 when both teams went back and forth with two-point baskets. The Blue Hose led 74-54 with 4:20 left in the game before being held to just two more points behind
Sonia Sato, but ultimately Presbyterian secured a 76-58 victory.

- Bryanna Brady scored 15-points while shooting 70% from the field. She also led the team with seven rebounds (Four offensive boards).
