How It Happened at Radford
The Highlanders won five out of the first six points in the first set which gave them an early four-point lead. After some back and forth, the Blue Hose went on a 5-1 run behind two kills from
Hannah Rowe and one from
Kasey Battle. This run tied up the set at 10 points apiece.
Julia Yurkovich then took two kills of her own along with another from Rowe to keep the set tied with a score of 14-14. Another kill from Yurkovich will send the match to its first media timeout giving PC the lead 15-14. Battle then puts down back to back kills to push the Blue Hose ahead 17-14. Radford answered after they scored four of the next five points tying it back up at 18 points apiece.
Jordan McAda then recorded a pair of consecutive kills before the Highlanders were able to keep the set tied at 20 points each. A kill from Rowe put PC in the lead again, but Radford scored the next three-points giving them a 23-21 lead before a timeout was called by Presbyterian. PC was able to grab another point after a kill from Rowe, but the Highlanders closed out the first set of the match with a score of 25-22.

The Blue Hose started out the second set with a 3-1 lead after
Hailey Grocholski and Battle recorded back to back assisted blocks. Radford was able to tie the set up at three-points apiece before a kill from Grocholski put PC back in the lead. After the set was tied at five apiece Radford took the next two points, but Presbyterian answered with two points of their own led by a kill by Yurkovich. The Highlanders scored the next three-points to take the lead with a score of 10-7. The Blue Hose fought to get back with two kills from McAda and one from Rowe to tie the score up at 12 apiece. An assisted block by Rowe and Grocholski gave PC a one-point lead, but Radford quickly tied it back up at 13. Battle and Grocholski recorded kills to send the match to another media timeout with a score of 15-14, PC leading. Kills from
Courtney Williams and Rowe tied the set at 20 points apiece, but Radford was able to score the next three-points which gave them a 23-20 lead. Presbyterian scored two more points, but the Highlanders won the second set with a score of 25-22.

Radford started off the third set with a score of 7-1. Kills from
Ashley Miller and Battle shortened the Highlanders lead. Some Radford errors brought PC up to five-points, but the Highlanders continued to increase their lead with a score of 11-5. The Blue Hose were able to bring Radford's lead down to just two-points, with a score of 12-10, after a kill from Rowe, an assisted block by Grocholski and Battle, and a service ace by
Kinsey Bailey. The Highlanders took the next two-points to bring their lead up to a score of 14-10. PC answered with two points of their own led by a kill from Miller. Radford was able to score the next four-points to bring their lead up to six-points with a score of 18-12. Grocholski recorded a kill, but the Highlanders took the next three-points to make the score 21-13. The Blue Hose were able to score two more points behind a kill from Miller, but ultimately Radford took the final set with a score of 25-15.
