BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBER – Teel leads the Blue Hose in scoring averaging 14.0 points per game while dishing out 3.4 assists per game. Teel has connected on a team-leading 11 three-point field goals. Barnett is second on the team tallying 13.4 points per game with a team-leading 3.5 assists per game. Pierce leads the Blue Hose in rebounding averaging 5.9 boards per game while averaging 10 points per game. Senior guard

Kory Mincy has knocked down nine three-point field goals this season. As a team, PC is averaging 77.3 points per game while shooting 48.5 percent from the field. The Blue Hose defense has limited their opponents to 71.1 points per game and 39.7 percent shooting from the field.
BEST START IN DIVISION I ERA - Presbyterian began the season 4-0 which is the best start in the school's Division I era. Presbyterian began the 2006-07 season, 4-0, which was the last time that PC won their first four games of the season. The 2006-07 season was PC's last season as a member of Division II.
BLOCKED SHOTS - Presbyterian has already tallied 30 blocked shots and are averaging 3.8 blocks per game as a team. Barnett has recorded 12 blocks this season while averaging 1.5 blocks per game. In Presbyterian's win over The Citadel (November 13), he tallied five blocked shots which is tied for the fourth most blocks in a game in the program's Division I era.
BIG SOUTH WEEKLY AWARDS - Barnett garnered Big South Player of the Week honors (November 20). Barnett is the eighth different Blue Hose player to earn the Big South Men's Basketball Player of the Week award in the program's history. For the week, he averaged 14.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.3 blocks per game in helping lead the Blue Hose to a 3-1 record last week with a home win over The Citadel, a road win at North Florida, and a neutral site win over Northwestern State.
PAINT TOUCHES - Presbyterian recorded their second 50-plus points in the paint scoring output with a season-high 56 points in the paint at Elon (November 27). PC scored 50 points against CIU (November 9). The Blue Hose average 39 points per game in the paint. The 56 points in the paint game at Elon marked the most points in the paint in a single-game by the Blue Hose since scoring 60 points in the paint at UNC Asheville (February 26, 2022).
BLUE HOSE DOUBLE-FIGURE SCORERS - Over the first eight games, Presbyterian has already had ten different players score in double-figures. Teel (six times), Barnett (five times), Scott (two times), James (two times),
Jamahri Harvey (two times),
Trevon Reddish-Rhone (two times), Pierce (two times),
Kobe Stewart (two times),Mincy (once) and Parrish (once) have all tallied double-digit scoring games this season.
PC COACH QUINTON FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his fifth season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 50 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks who are coaching their alma maters.
PRESBYTERIAN-VMI SERIES
Saturday's game will be the 18
th meeting between Presbyterian and VMI. The Blue Hose lead the all-time series, 10-7. The game will be the fourth time in the last three years that the two teams have played. The Blue Hose have won five straight in the series. PC defeated VMI, 72-57, in their previous game which came in the Templeton Center last season on November 29, 2022. James led the Blue Hose with 18 points while connecting in five three-point field goals. Reddish-Rhone scored 17 points, grabbed six rebounds, and dished out six assists in the game. Barnett scored 15 points and grabbed seven boards.
SCOUTING VMI
The Keydets enter the game with a 2-6 record with wins over Christendom and Clarks Summit. VMI lost to Navy, 67-47, on the road in their last game this past Wednesday. Freshman guard Koree Cotton leads VMI in scoring at 14.6 points per game. Junior guard Brennan Watkins is second on the team contributing 14.1 points per game. Sophomore guard Taeshaud Jackson II leads the team in rebounding at 10.6 boards per game. VMI averages 72.1 points per game while their opponents have also averaged 72.1 points per game.
