The Presbyterian Blue Hose had three players score in double-figures but the Blue Hose fell to the Florida A&M Rattlers, 65-60, in the Templeton Center last Wednesday evening. Junior guard Jamahri Harvey and freshman guard Kory Mincy paced the Blue Hose with 11 points apiece. Senior guard Kobe Stewart rounded out the Blue Hose double-figure scorers with 10 points.
 
BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBER – Junior guard Samage Teel leads the Blue Hose in scoring averaging 12.6 points per game while dishing out 3.0 assists per game. Teel has connected on a team-leading 15 three-point field goals. Junior guard Marquis Barnett is second on the team contributing 12.3 points per game while distributing 3.0 assists per game. Stewart and junior forward Jonah Pierce are tied for the team lead in rebounding averaging 5.5 boards per game.  Pierce averages 9.9 points per game. Stewart chips in with 7.0 points per game. Harvey averages 7.3 points. Senior guard Crosby James has connected on 11 three-point field goals. Mincy has knocked down 11 three-point field goals this season. As a team, PC is averaging 75.3 points per game while shooting 47.5 percent from the field. The Blue Hose defense has limited their opponents to 70.5 points per game.
 
BIG SOUTH WEEKLY AWARDS - Barnett garnered Big South Player of the Week honors (November 20). Barnett is the eighth different Blue Hose player to earn the Big South Men's Basketball Player of the Week award in the program's history. For the week, he averaged 14.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.3 blocks per game in helping lead the Blue Hose to a 3-1 record last week with a home win over The Citadel, a road win at North Florida, and a neutral site win over Northwestern State.
 
Mincy earned Big South Freshman of the Week honors (December 11), He is the 10th player in the program's history to earn the award. Mincy scored 11 points, dished out three assists and grabbed two rebounds against Florida A&M (December 6).
 
BLOCKED SHOTS - Presbyterian has already tallied 34 blocked shots and are averaging 3.4 blocks per game as a team. Barnett has recorded 13 blocks this season while averaging 1.3 blocks per game. In Presbyterian's win over The Citadel (November 13), he tallied five blocked shots which is tied for the fourth most blocks in a game in the program's Division I era.
 
BLUE HOSE DOUBLE-FIGURE SCORERS - Over the first ten games, Presbyterian has had ten different players score in double-figures. Teel (seven times), Barnett (six times), Kaleb Scott (two times), James (two times), Harvey (two times), Trevon Reddish-Rhone (three times), Pierce (three times), Stewart (three times), Mincy (two times) and Carl Parrish (once) have all tallied double-digit scoring games this season.
 
PC COACH QUINTON FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his fifth season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 50 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks who are coaching their alma maters.

Wednesday's game marks the first-ever meeting between Presbyterian and Mid-Atlantic Christian.

The Mustangs enter the game with two straight wins over Central International College and Central Penn. Junior Carlos Raven leads the team in scoring averaging 21 points per game. Senior Talik Totten leads MACU with 24 three-point field goals made while averaging 10.7 points per game.
