Presbyterian Blanks Tennessee Tech, 7-0

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose (4-6) blanked the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles (0-6), 7-0, in their home opening match at the Templeton Tennis Courts on Saturday afternoon. The victory marked the seventh straight season that the Blue Hose have won their home opening match.
 
DOUBLES
Presbyterian claimed the doubles point for the sixth time this season. At number three doubles, Presbyterian's Teo Cariov and David Mamalat won their match by default. At number two doubles, Presbyterian's Javier Matos and Sebastian Dominguez cruised to a 6-1 win to clinch the doubles point for the Blue Hose. At number one doubles, Presbyterian's Max Benson and Dusan Milanovic, who are ranked No 32 in the ITA doubles rankings, recorded a 6-3 win to complete the sweep of the doubles matches.
 
SINGLES
Presbyterian swept the six singles matches for the second straight match. Matos and Mamalat won their respective matches at number five and six singles by default to give the Blue Hose a 3-0 lead. At number one singles, Milanovic, who is ranked No. 76 in the ITA singles rankings, tallied his seventh win of the season with a 6-2, 6-1 victory to clinch the overall win for the Blue Hose. At number two singles, Presbyterian's Benson collected a 6-4, 6-4 win for this fifth victory of the season. At number four singles, Presbyterian's Denim Yadav collected his second straight win in a 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (11-9). At number three singles, Presbyterian's Dominguez recorded his fifth win of the season after a 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (11-9) victory.
