CARY, N.C. – The Presbyterian College baseball team could not overcome a five-run first inning as Georgetown picked up the 5-3 victory on Sunday afternoon at the USA Baseball Training Complex. Freshman Jake Randolph led the Blue Hose with a pair of hits and an RBI in Sunday's setback.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Hoyas started fast on Sunday, connecting on a three-run home run in the opening inning before a pair of RBI singles pushed the lead to 5-0 after one inning.
- PC began to chip away at the Georgetown lead in the second when Evan Cuervo connected on an RBI single to make it 5-1.
- The Blue Hose added another run in the third with a sacrifice fly off the bat of Dalton Reeves to cut the deficit to three, 5-2, after 2.5 innings.
- Neither team got on the scoreboard again until the eighth inning when Randolph laced a single to right field that plated a run to make it 5-3.
- PC would get a pair of runners on in the ninth before Georgetown escaped with the 5-3 victory in Sunday's series finale.
