Women's Basketball Set to Host CSU in Regular Season Finale

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's basketball team is set to close out the 2022-23 regular season on Saturday with a 2 p.m. against Charleston Southern on ESPN3 from the Templeton Center.

-  The Blue Hose are set to close out the 2022-23 regular season on Saturday as PC welcomes Charleston Southern to Clinton to close out the season. Presbyterian looks to get back in the win column after a 61-56 setback on Wednesday at USC Upstate while CSU fell in its home finale against UNC Asheville by the score of 65-55 on Wednesday night.

-The Presbyterian College women's basketball team came up short on Wednesday night in its road finale, falling to USC Upstate 61-56 inside the G.B. Hodge Center in Spartanburg, S.C… Bryanna Brady led the Blue Hose on Wednesday with 17 points and 12 rebounds for her third double-double of the season.
 
Last Time Out vs the Bucs
- Fifth-year senior Bryanna Brady led the Presbyterian College women's basketball team with 18 points and 11 rebounds as the Blue Hose defeated Charleston Southern 66-58 inside Buccaneer Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon. Brady tallied her second double-double of the season with 18 points and 11 rebounds to propel PC to a third consecutive league victory.
 
Kierscht Nabs Big South Freshman of the Week Honors
- Freshman Aubrie Kierscht has been named the Big South Freshman of the Week following the Blue Hose wins over Longwood and UNC Asheville, as announced by the league office on Monday. The Salina, Kan. native tallied 12.5 points/per game while connecting on a team-high eight threes in Presbyterian's two wins over the Lancers and Bulldogs. She also pulled down seven rebounds over the two contests.
 
Blue Hose Closing in on Numerous Team Records
- As a team, the Blue Hose enter the final week of the regular season close to multiple team records on the 2022-23 season. PC has scored 1,815 points and needs just 66 points to break the DI record for a PC team. The Blue Hose have tallied 1,062 rebounds and 777 defensive rebounds on the season with needing 50 rebounds and 11 defensive boards to eclipse both milestones. The final milestone within reach is assists as the Blue Hose have totaled 400 on the year and need just 15 to surpass the team single-season DI record.
 
Blue Hose Set Single-Season Field Goal Record
- In the third quarter on the road against High Point, Kierscht connected on the team's 651st field goal as a team setting a new DI single-season record for the Blue Hose for field goals made in a season. The previous high of 650 was set during the 2015-16 and 2021-22 seasons. Brady leads the way for PC with 148 field goals.
 
Blue Hose Filling Up the Basket in League Play
- In league play, the Blue Hose are third in points/game averaging 65.8 in 17 conference games this season. PC has eclipsed 66+ points in 10 conference games after the 76 points scored over UNC Asheville last Saturday. Bryanna Brady leads the offense with 14.1 points/game as Aubrie Kierscht is averaging 10.5 ppg.
 
Scouting Charleston Southern
-  Charleston Southern sits at 5-23 and 3-14 in the league following a 65-55 setback against UNC Asheville on Wednesday in Charleston. Catherine Alben leads the Bucs with 9.4 points/game as Kennedi Jackson sits second on the Bucs with 9.2 points per game. Madison Adamson leads the Bucs with 6.3 rebounds per game on the year. Zaire Hicks paces Charleston Southern with 69 assists on the year and she's also tops on the team with 43 steals.

- PC holds a 17-13 edge against Charleston Southern during the Blue Hose DI era with the Blue Hose winning seven of the last nine meetings dating back to the end of the 2017-18 season. Presbyterian picked up the 66-58 victory earlier this season in Charleston. 
 
Brady Filling Up the Basket in League
- Brady has scored double figures in 12 of 17 conference contests highlighted by a career-high 29-point performance against Gardner-Webb. Brady is averaging a team-high 14.1 points/game in league play. Kierscht Heating Up from Beyond the Arc
- The Blue Hose freshman continues to light it up from beyond the arc especially in conference play for PC as Kierscht has connected on 44 threes in league action highlighted by a season-high six against Winthrop. Kierscht has made a team-high 60 on the season which puts her in third in the Big South as she's connected on multiple threes in 13 contests this season.
 
Sjökvist Racking Up the Helpers
- The Huskvarna, Sweden native continues to rack up the assists throughout the 2022-23 season as Sjökvist has totaled 100- assists this season including 58 of those coming in league games. She sits second in the league in assists with her 100 helpers as she's also third in the conference with 3.6 assists/game. She's had eight games this season with 5+ assists.

- Brady sits seventh in the league averaging 13.4 points/game... she also leads the league with a 56.5% shooting performance from the field... Kierscht is third in three-pointers with 60 on the year...
