Blue Hose Fall to Wofford on Saturday

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team fell on Saturday in non-conference action by the score of 7-0 to Wofford at the Templeton Tennis Courts.

COACH ROBERTS ON THE MATCH
"It was a tough one today. The team competed and fought hard but Wofford was just a little too tough in the end. We will get a full week to train hard and get healthy and back at it next Saturday against WCU before league play begins." 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wofford got out to the quick start with a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles before a 6-0 victory at No. 2 spot to clinch the first point of the match.
- Madison Dennett and McKenzie Davis earned their third doubles win as a pair after the Terriers won the first point of Saturday's action.
- The guests earned straight-set wins at No. 3 and 5 singles to push the lead out to 3-0 over the Blue Hose.
- Wofford clinched the match at No. 4 singles with a straight-set victory over PC to win Saturday's match.
- The Terries earned the wins in the remaining three matches as Presbyterian did force a third set in each match but Wofford handled each match.
