The Presbyterian Blue Hose lost to the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs, 56-48, on the road last Saturday afternoon.
 
Jalen Forrest led the Blue Hose with 13 points with 10 of those points coming in the second half. Crosby James scored 10 points. Terrell Ard, Jr. grabbed 12 rebounds in the game.

Forrest, who leads all freshmen in the Big South in scoring, is Presbyterian's leading scorer averaging 12.2 points per game. Forrest leads the Blue Hose in free throws made (78) and attempted (102). James, who has scored in double-figures 13 times, is second on the team in scoring averaging 10.4 points per game. James has connected on a team-leading 36 three-point field goals made. Marquis Barnett averages 8.6 points per game and is second on the team in rebounding averaging 5.0 boards per game. Ard leads the Blue Hose in rebounding averaging 5.9 boards per game. Ard averages 6.3 points per game. Trevon Reddish-Rhone averages 6.6 points while dishing out a team-leading 2.2 assists per game. Kobe Stewart averages 6.7 points while grabbing 4.2 rebounds per game. Owen McCormack averages 7.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game while connecting on 36 three-point field goals.

FORREST BIG SOUTH FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK FOUR TIMES - Freshman guard Jalen Forrest has been named Big South Freshman of the Week four times (November 28, January 9, January 16 and January 30). He is the fourth player in the program's history to earn at least four Big South Freshman of the Week awards.
 
BENCH POINTS - Presbyterian behind the double-figure scoring performances from Jalen Forrest, Houston Jones, Quadir Pettaway and Kobe Stewart off the bench in the win over Allen (December 19, 2022), the Blue Hose scored a season-high 58 bench points. This marked the most bench points scored by the Blue Hose since tallying 67 bench points in a home win over UNC Asheville on March 5, 2019. In the 2018-19 season, the Blue Hose recorded four games with at least 51 bench points.

This season, Presbyterian has had 19 double-figure scoring games off the bench. The Blue Hose average 20.5 points per game off the bench this season.
 
OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS - This season, Presbyterian averages 11.16 offensive boards per game, which ranks the Blue Hose in the Top 100 in the nation in offensive rebounds per game. The Blue Hose have recorded 14 double-figure offensive rebounds games (Carolina University - November 7, at The Citadel - November 10, at East Carolina - November 12, at UAB, November 16, vs. Bucknell - November 21, VMI - November 29, Elon - December 15, Allen - December 19, Campbell - December 29, January 4, at Winthrop, Charleston Southern - January 7, at USC Upstate - January 18, at UNC Asheville - January 25, and Radford - February 1). The Blue Hose grabbed a season-high 20 offensive boards at Winthrop on January 4, 2023.
 
COACH FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his fourth season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 52 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks that are coaching their alma maters.
 
PRESBYTERIAN-LONGWOOD SERIES
Wednesday's game marks the 19th meeting between Presbyterian and Longwood. The Blue Hose have a 11-7 series advantage. The Lancers have won the last three games between the two teams including a 58-56 win at Presbyterian on January 21, 2023. Reddish-Rhone led all scorers with 15 points on 6-for-9 shooting from the field in the game. Presbyterian has won five of the six games between the two teams at Longwood.
