CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose (7-8, Big South: 1-1) fell to the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs (11-3, Big South: 1-0), 5-2, at the Templeton Tennis Courts on Sunday afternoon.
DOUBLES
Gardner-Webb captured the doubles point ending the Blue Hose's streak of six straight matches winning the doubles point. Gardner-Webb posted wins at number two and one doubles to claim the doubles point.
SINGLES
Gardner-Webb won four of the six singles matches to claim the overall victory. Presbyterian tied the match at one when
Denim Yadav collected a 6-4, 6-2 win at number three singles. Then, Gardner-Webb won at number two, six, and one singles taking a 4-1 lead.
Javier Matos collected his ninth win of the season with a 1-6, 6-1, 6-4 win at number four singles. Gardner-Webb closed out the match with a three sets win at number five singles.
