Blue Hose Close Out Regular Season with Home Win over Radford

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team returned home for the final time in the spring season and came out with a 4-3 victory over Radford at the Templeton Tennis Courts on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- PC got off to the quick start on Saturday with a 6-1 win by the pair of Madison Dennett and Lucianna Piedra before Valentina De Sousa and Claudia Sanchez grabbed a 6-4 win to give the Blue Hose a 1-0 lead.
- Radford earned a 7-6 tiebreak win after the hosts clinched the opening point of the match.
- Sanchez pushed the lead to 2-0 with quick work at the No. 2 singles position with a  6-3, 6-1 win before Radford cut the lead to 2-1 with a straight-set victory of its own.
- McKenzie Davis battled back after dropping set two to win in three sets which pushed Presbyterian to a 3-1 lead before Dennett won 6-1, 3-6, 6-1 in three sets to secure the Blue Hose season finale victory.
- Radford picked up wins at the No. 1 and 5 spots in the lineup after the Blue Hose clinched the match by the score of 4-3.
 
NOTABLES
- Sanchez finished the season with a team-best 4-2 mark in league play. Sanchez currently sits in a tie for seventh in the Blue Hose DI record book with nine career Big South victories.
