ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville used the middle innings to pull ahead and hang on down the stretch for a 10-6 victory over the Presbyterian College baseball team on Sunday afternoon at Greenwood Field for a series victory. Brody Fahr, Trey Fenderson and Dalton Reeves all connected on homers in Sunday's defeat.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- PC got out the early lead on Sunday as Fahr lined an RBI single back up the middle to give the Blue Hose a 1-0 lead.
- The offense wasn't done yet as Reeves connected on his second homer of the weekend a two-run shot to push the early advantage to 3-0 after half an inning.
- UNC Asheville answered in the bottom half of the first with a three-run home to even the game at three early on.
- The offense continued in the second with a two-run homer from Fenderson to push PC back in front 5-3.
- The Bulldogs inched closer in the third with a solo homer to rightfield to cut it to a 5-4 Blue Hose advantage.
- The hosts grabbed the lead in the fifth with a pair of runs to push in front by the score of 6-5.
- The Bulldogs increased their lead in the sixth with a four-run inning to push it to a 10-5 score after six innings on Sunday afternoon.
- Fahr helped push PC a little closer in the seventh with a solo homer that cut the deficit to four, 10-6 after seven innings before the Bulldogs hung on to clinch the series over the Blue Hose.
NOTABLES
- Fahr and Reeves each tallied a pair of hits in the defeat as Reeves connected on his fourth homer and Fahr his third of the season. The Blue Hose shortstop and catcher along with Fenderson each went deep on Sunday marking the first time PC has had 3+ homers in a game since connecting on four at Georgia on February 28.
- Fahr becomes the first Blue Hose to reach 10 multi-hit games as he's tallied hits in four straight games. Fahr is hitting .421 with four extra-base hits and five runs knocked in during that stretch.
- Reeves finished the week with five extra-base hits including three doubles and two homers along with a team-high seven runs knocked in over the four games PC played.
- Decker tallied his second double of the season along with swiping his team-high 11th base of the 2023 campaign.
- Decker is now just one stolen base away from tying former Blue Hose Zacchaeus Rasberry for the PC DI career record for stolen bases. Rasberry had 41 in his time with the Blue Hose.
