CLINTON, S.C. – Behind a seven-run first inning and a season-high 17 hits, the Presbyterian College baseball team recorded a 13-3 Big South victory over Gardner-Webb on Saturday afternoon at the PC Baseball Complex. Brody Fahr, Dalton Reeves, and Chase Hughes each led the offense with three hits as Reeves and Hughes led the way with four RBIs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blue Hose opened the scoring with a sacrifice fly from Jack Gorman to get the early advantage on Saturday.
- The momentum continued in the first when Reeves connected on a three-run homer to give the hosts a 4-0 lead. Three batters later, Chase Hughes connected on a two-run shot to make it a 6-0 PC advantage.
- Following Hughes's homer, Trey Fenderson capped the opening frame with a solo homer to give PC a 7-0 lead after just one inning.
- Gardner-Webb got on the scoreboard in the second with an RBI single through the left side to make it 7-1 Blue Hose.
- PC responded with a sacrifice fly from Reeves followed by Joel Dragoo scoring on a Runnin' Bulldogs wild pitch that pushed it to a 9-1 game after two frames.
- The guests pushed across a pair of runs in the third that allowed the lead to be trimmed to six, 9-3.
- In the fifth, Brody Fahr connected on an RBI double that gave PC the 10-3 lead after five innings.
- Hughes connected on a two-run single in the sixth before an RBI single from Fenderson gave the Blue Hose a 13-3 lead that they would carry to a Saturday afternoon win to even the series at a game apiece.
