- USC Upstate jumped on top in the opening inning with a five-run first to get the early lead on Sunday afternoon.
- Presbyterian got on the board in the third with an RBI single from Joel Dragoo to cut the Upstate lead to 5-1 after 2.5 innings.
- The Spartans added a pair of runs in the third to push back in front by the score of 7-1 after three innings.
- The hosts pushed across two more runs in the fourth and the fifth to extend the Spartans lead to 11-1 after five frames. USC Upstate carried that fast start to a series win on Sunday afternoon in Spartanburg.

- Dragoo continued his hot-hitting with another multi-hit game as the Blue Hose sophomore added his 11th multi-hit game of the season on Sunday.
