Presbyterian Travels to North Carolina to Play Davidson

LAST TIME OUT
Presbyterian coach Nick Finotti became the first men's soccer coach in PC's Division I era that notched a win in his debut as Presbyterian's coach after the Blue Hose beat Southern Wesleyan, 8-1, last Thursday. Presbyterian's eight goals set the school record for goals scored in a game in the Blue Hose's Division I era. Victor Faaborg Christensen became the second player in PC's men's soccer Division I history to record a hat trick. Carson Griffith, Jordan Johnson, Ryan Galloway, Jose Gutierrez, and Chase Kennedy also scored goals in the game.

BIG SOUTH WEEKLY HONORS
This week, Faaborg Christensen was named Big South Freshman of the Week after recording a hat trick in PC's 8-1 win over Southern Wesleyan. Faaborg Christensen became the seventh player in the program's history to earn Big South Freshman of the Week honors.

HOME OPENER
For the 11th time in the program's history, the Blue Hose began the season at home. After last Thursday's 8-1 win over Southern Wesleyan, since joining Division I, the Blue Hose are 8-8-1 all-time in their home opening games.
 
PRESBYTERIAN-DAVIDSON SERIES
Wednesday's game marks the seventh meeting between Presbyterian and Davidson, who has won the previous six meetings. Davidson defeated Presbyterian, 1-0, in their last meeting which came at PC on October 26, 2021.
 
SCOUTING DAVIDSON
Both of Davidson's first two games this season against High Point on August 24 and Campbell on August 27 were stopped before they were an official game due to inclement weather.
 
Davidson coach Mike Babst is in his fifth season at Davidson and his 11th overall season as a head coach. Davidson returned 10 starters led by preseason All-Atlantic 10 selection sophomore forward Denis Krioutchenkov
