ARLINGTON, Texas – Presbyterian continues its early season tournament schedule in the UTA Classic at the University of Texas Arlington, Sept, 1-2. Joining the Blue Hose in the tournament field are the host team UTA, Incarnate Word, and Louisiana Tech.
Presbyterian plays the first two games of the UTA Classic against Incarnate Word on Friday, September 1 at 11 a.m. Then, the Blue Hose have a quick turnaround playing Louisiana Tech later that day at 4 p.m. Presbyterian concludes play in the UTA Classic against UTA on Saturday, September 2 at 11:30 a.m.

A LOOK AT THE BLUE HOSE
Last weekend, Presbyterian began their season with matches against Stetson, Fordham, and UNCW in the UNCW Hampton Inn University Invitational, August 25-26. Junior outside hitter
Hannah Rowe was named to the All-Tournament team after recording 26 kills and 35 digs in the three games. Senior opposite
Kasey Battle collected 25 kills and 29 digs. Freshman outside hitter
Ashley Miller added 17 kills and 26 digs to the Blue Hose's efforts.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT – INCARNATE WORD
- The Cardinals began the season capturing the Texan Invitational with wins over Arkansas – Pine Bluff, Prairie View A&M, and Tarleton State last weekend.
- Senior outside hitter Allison Palmi collected a team-high 38 kills and senior libero Audrey Patton recorded a team-leading 48 digs in the tournament.
- UIW coach Gabby Ording is in her first season as the head coach. She is the eighth head coach in the program's history.
- Friday's match will be the first-ever meeting between Presbyterian and Incarnate Word.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT – LOUISIANA TECH
- Louisiana Tech won their last match, 3-0, over Little Rock in the Arkansas State Invitational. The Bulldogs went 1-2 in the Arkansas State Invitational last weekend. La. Tech beat Little Rock and lost to North Alabama and Arkansas State.
- Sophomore right-side hitter Jailen Hurley and senior middle blocker Ashley Taylor were selected for the Arkansas State Invitational All-Tournament team. Hurley finished the tournament with 31 kills while posting a .314 attack percentage. Taylor tallied 12 blocks in Louisiana Tech's three games.
- Louisiana Tech head coach Amber McCray is in her fifth season as the Bulldogs' head coach.
- Friday's match will be the second-ever meeting between Presbyterian and Louisiana Tech, who defeated PC, 3-1, in a tournament at Clemson last season, on August 26, 2022.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT – UTA
- Senior middle blocker Paige Reagor captured WAC Player of the Week honors this week after being named MVP of the Amy Svoboda Memorial Classic last weekend. Reagor, who transferred to UTA from Charleston Southern, recorded 33 kills while hitting .459.
- The UTA Mavs captured the Amy Svoboda Memorial Classic title with wins over Bryant, Rhode Island, and the host school Air Force last weekend.
- UTA head coach J.T. Wenger is in his seventh season at the helm of the Mavs program.
- Saturday's match will be the first-ever meeting between Presbyterian and UTA.
