PC Hosts Jacksonville in a Tuesday Afternoon Contest

The Presbyterian Blue Hose play the Jacksonville Dolphins at Martin Stadium on Tuesday, September 19 at 4 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
This past Saturday, the Blue Hose suffered a tough defeat with a 2-1 loss to ETSU at Martin Stadium. In the 46th minute, Carson Griffith scored Presbyterian's goal on a penalty kick. ETSU scored both of their goals within a minute and a half of each other in the 80th and 81st minutes.  
 
BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBERS
Victor Faaborg Christensen leads the Blue Hose in goals with three. Griffith is second on the team with two goals both on penalty kicks.  Sandro Rabarivony, Jose Gutierrez, Chase Kennedy, Ryan Galloway, and Jordan Johnson have scored goals this season.
 
BIG SOUTH WEEKLY HONORS
On August 28, Faaborg Christensen was named Big South Freshman of the Week after recording a hat trick in PC's 8-1 win over Southern Wesleyan. Faaborg Christensen is the seventh player in the program's history to earn Big South Freshman of the Week honors.

PRESBYTERIAN-JACKSONVILLE SERIES
Presbyterian has won three of the four previous contests between the two teams. Last season, PC picked up a shutout 1-0 road win at Jacksonville on September 27, 2022. Lorenzo Nagy scored the game-winning goal off an assist from Nile Nguidjol.   
 
SCOUTING JACKSONVILLE
The Dolphins enter Tuesday's game in Martin Stadium with a 2-4-1 record and fresh off a 2-2 tie at home against FGCU. This season, the Dolphins have collected wins over Georgia Southern and Florida Atlantic. Jacksonville has scored eight goals while allowing 10 goals. Redshirt junior forward Olivier Correa and junior forward Carson Wood are tied for the team lead with two goals apiece.
 
Jacksonville coach Alli Simmons is in his first season at the helm of the Dolphins' program. He came to Jacksonville after spending the last two years as the associate head coach at Elon.
