TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Presbyterian College cross country teams led by freshman
Noah Kaufman and sophomore
Isabel Whitman competed in the FSU Invitational on Friday morning in Tallahassee, Florida. Â Kaufman set a personal record with a 28:17.8 in the men's 8k. Whitman paced the Blue Hose women's team with a time of 20:14.5 in the women's 5k. Â
NOTABLES
- Kaufman's PR was a 13-second improvement over his last race at the Queen City Invite a couple of weeks ago.
- Senior William Johnson led the Blue Hose men's team with a time of 27:33.3.
- Sophomore Kevin Lagat also set a PR with a time of 29:07.8.
- Rounding out the Blue Hose men's cross country runners were sophomore Spencer Wieters (30:30.7), freshman JJ Bartlett (32:48.0), junior James Marler (38:31.3), and sophomore Nizeyimana Aristide (40:18.8).
- Whitman led the Blue Hose women's team with a time of 20:14.5 which was two seconds off her PR.
- Senior Kayli Gomez was the second PC runner to finish the race with a time of 20:18.1. Junior Caroline Rairigh posted her best time since her freshman year with a time of 20:56.6.
- Rounding out Blue Hose women's runners were freshman Abby Donaldson (21:37.8), freshman Savannah Watson (24:01.7), sophomore Eliana Watson (24:25.8), redshirt freshman Eliana Watson (24:25.8), and senior Julie Covil (24:32.1).
