SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Presbyterian College Blue Hose volleyball team (0-8) came up short in a pair of matches against Wofford and Belmont on day one of the Terrier Invite at Wofford College. In the first match, Presbyterian lost to the Wofford Terriers, 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-19). Then, the Blue Hose battled but came up short in a 3-1 (25-23, 25-22, 23-25, 25-21) loss to the Belmont Bruins.

How It Happened vs. Wofford
- In the first set, the lead changed hands several times with several lead changes. Wofford would take a 10-8 lead, the Blue Hose scored five straight points paced by kills by Courtney Williams and Kasey Battle to take a 13-10 lead. Wofford scored 12 of the next 15 points taking control of the set that the Terriers would go on to win 25-18.
- In the second set, PC scored the first two points on kills by Elyse Hutchinson and Ashley Miller. Wofford scored four of the next five points taking a 4-3 lead. With the score tied at five, Wofford scored three straight points taking an 8-5 lead. PC answered with a 3-0 run of their own tying the set at eight. With the set tied at 10, Wofford scored three straight points taking the lead for good. The Terriers would win the set, 25-19.
- Wofford began the third set on a 5-0 run. Wofford pushed their lead to 10-4. Presbyterian would not get any closer to Wofford, who closed out the match with a 25-19 win in the set. Â

How It Happened vs. Belmont
- In set one, the Blue Hose jumped out to a 4-0 lead after kills by Jordan McAda and Hannah Rowe and two Belmont attack errors. PC maintained the lead until Belmont tied the score at seven. The Blue Hose regained the lead behind a Belmont service error and a kill by Courtney Williams. The set was tied at 10, 11, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20. With the score tied at 20, Belmont scored five of the final eight points in a 25-23 win.
- In set two, Belmont scored three of the first four points. Behind kills from Julia Yurkovich and Kasey Battle, the Blue Hose tied the set at three. Then, with the score tied at eight, Presbyterian moved in front 10-8 behind two Belmont attack errors. Belmont scored four straight points regaining the lead, 12-10. PC scored two straight points tying the score at 12 behind two kills from Yurkovich. Belmont scored four of the next five points regaining the lead, 16-13. Presbyterian scored seven of the next 11 points tying the score at 20. The Bruins scored five of the next seven points to win the second set, 25-22.
- In the third set, Presbyterian scored three of the first four points in the set. With the score tied at five, PC scored 12 of the next 16 points taking a 17-9 lead after a kill by Battle. Belmont scored six straight points cutting PC's lead to 17-15. A kill by Battle ended Belmont's scoring run. Belmont was able to get within one point, 21-20, PC finished the set by scoring four of the final eight points to win the third set, 25-23.
- In the fourth set, the Blue Hose jumped out to an early 5-3 lead. Belmont scored three of the next four points tying the score at six. Belmont would take the lead and then Presbyterian would answer tying the score at 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18. With the score tied at 18, Belmont scored four straight points taking the lead for good. Belmont closed out the match with a 25-21 win in the fourth set. Â Â
