LAST TIME OUT
The Blue Hose fell to the High Point Panthers on the road earlier this week with a final score of 76-55. Neira recorded her first double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Sjökvist totaled 12 points, four assists, and three steals. Brady finished with 11 points and Cunill added 10 points with six rebounds to Presbyterian's efforts.
 
SCOUTING THE LANCERS
Longwood has a 4-13 record with wins over Chowan, Ohio, Charleston Southern, and USC Upstate. The Lancers have averaged 61.2 points per game and 35.7 rebounds per game. Senior guard Janay Turner leads the team with 12.1 ppg and a 40.0 three-point field goal percentage. Freshman forward Otaifo Esenabhalu leads the Lancers with 5.8 rpg and 0.5 blocks per game.
 
BLUE HOSE DOUBLE FIGURE SCORERS
Over their first 20 games, Presbyterian has already had nine different players who have scored in double-figures. Brady (14 times), Sjökvist (13 times), Neira (10 times), Kierscht (three times), Cunill (three times), Kindseth (twice), Carrillo (once), Kline (once), and Herrin (once) have all tallied double-digit scoring games this season.
 
PRESBYTERIAN – LONGWOOD SERIES
Saturday marks the 27th time that these two teams have met since Presbyterian joined Division I in 2007. Their first game was during the 2007-08 season where Longwood won 73-58. Last season, the Blue Hose took victory over the Lancers with a score of 77-64. Presbyterian leads the all-time series between the two teams 16-10.

As a team, Presbyterian leads the conference with 13.5 assists per game, a 0.7 assist to turnover ratio, and a +2.8-rebounding margin. The team is ranked second for shooting at 39.1 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from distance. Individually, the Blue Hose have three players who are ranked in the top 10 for scoring, Neira is ranked seventh for her 13.0 ppg, Brady is listed at eighth with 12.6 ppg, and Sjokvist is in 10th with 12.1 ppg. Sjokvist is also ranked third for averaging 3.4 apg. Neira leads the league for her 35.2 three-point field goal percentage and for averaging 2.6 three-point field goals per game.
 
BIG SOUTH WEEKLY AWARDS
Presbyterian beat the Columbia College Koalas 62-53 on Sunday, December 31. Brady scored a new season-high of 27 points while shooting 73.3% (11-of-15) from the field. She also shot 62.5% (5-of-8) from the free throw line and dished out two assists. Defensively, Brady helped the team hold the Koalas to no points for almost 11 minutes in the second half. She added four rebounds and a block to her efforts. This is the second time that Brady earned this award and the fourth Big South Player of the Week award that the Blue Hose have received so far this season.
