LAST TIME OUT – – The Blue Hose lost to the Kennesaw State Owls, 85-67, on the road. Jonah Pierce recorded his first double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Jaylen Peterson scored a career-high 11 points.   
 
BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBERS – Presbyterian is averaging 81.8 points per game and 34.0 rebounds per game. The Blue Hose are shooting 52.8 percent from the field. Kobe Stewart leads three Blue Hose double-figure scorers averaging 15.8 points per game. Kory Mincy is second on the team in scoring averaging 14.8 points while dishing out team-leading 6.2 assists per game. Pierce is third on the team in scoring averaging 13.2 points while grabbing a team-leading 6.8 rebounds per game. Carl Parrish averages 8.6 points per game. Peterson is second on the team in rebounding averaging 6.0 boards per game while averaging 7.0 points per game. .
 
REGULAR-SEASON TOURNAMENTS - The Blue Hose are playing in The Axe'Em Classic at Stephen F. Austin, November 21-23. This is the fourth straight season that the Blue Hose have played in a tournament in November. The Axe'Em Classic will be the 13th regular-season tournament that PC has played in since moving to Division I in 2007-08.  In the 2021-22 season, the Blue Hose claimed the University of New Orleans Classic title with wins over New Orleans, VMI, and Central Arkansas. Last season, the Blue Hose won two games, winning over North Florida and Northwestern State in the First Coast Classic at North Florida.
 
BIG SOUTH PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Mincy was named Big South Co-Player of the Week on November 11. Mincy is the 10th player in the program's history to earn Big South Player of the Week honors. Mincy earned the award after averaging 18.7 points and eight assists in Presbyterian's home game against Carolina Christian and road games at Charlotte and NC State.
 
1,000 CAREER POINTS - Pierce recorded his 1,000th point in his college career with a basket with six seconds left in the Charlotte game  (November 4). Pierce went over the 1,000 points mark in impressive fashion scoring 22 points (shooting a perfect 11-for-11 from the field) in the game. Pierce began the season by making his first 16 shots.
 
DOUBLE-DOUBLES - The Blue Hose have had four double-double performances in the first five games. Against Charlotte (November 4), Mincy scored 17 points and dished out 10 assists. Against Carolina Christian (November 6) Mincy scored 11 points and tallied 10 assists. Against Wofford (November 13) senior guard Kobe Stewart recorded his first double-double of the season with 26 points and 10 rebounds.  Pierce had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds at Kennesaw State (November 16).
 
SCHOOL SCORING RECORD - Presbyterian scored a school Division I era record for points in a game with 120 in their season opening win over Carolina Christian (November 6). Presbyterian had six double-figure scorers and 12 PC players scored at least two points in the game.
 
DOUBLE DIGIT ASSISTS - Mincy began the season with consecutive 10 assists games at Charlotte and at home against Carolina Christian. In both those games, he scored in double-figures as well.
 
HOME OPENER – Presbyterian is 16-1 in their home opening game while a member of Division I. The Blue Hose defeated Carolina Christian, 120-45, in their home opener last Wednesday. 
 
FIELD GOAL PERCENTAGE - Last season, Presbyterian had 12 games shooting 50 percent or higher from the field while leading the Big South in field goal percentage. The Blue Hose picked up right where they left off last season shooting 56.1 percent (32-57) from the field at Charlotte on November 4.  PC shot 62.3 percent (43-69) from the field in the win over Carolina Christian on November 6. This season, the Blue Hose again lead the Big South while raking 20th in the NCAA in field goal percentage (150-for-283) shooting 52.8 percent from the field.
 
PC COACH QUINTON FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his sixth season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 50 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks who are coaching their alma maters.
 
STEPHEN F. AUSTIN – The Lumberjacks average 68 points while allowing 61 points per game. Senior guard Matt Hayman leads the team in scoring averaging 10.3 points per game. Senior forward Nana Antwi-Boasiako leads the Lumberjacks in rebounding averaging 8.5 boards per game while chipping in with 9.5 points per game. Stephen F. Austin has home wins over Dallas and Letourneau and road losses to Drake and Arkansas State.
 
YOUNGSTOWN STATE – The Penguins average 74 points while allowing 81.7 points per game. Fifth-year guard Nico Gallette leads three Penguins double-figure scorers averaging 15 points per game. He also leads the team in rebounding at 6.0 boards per game. The Penguins had a road win over Chicago State to start the season. Youngstown State has lost their last two games with road losses at Ohio State and Syracuse.
 
MONMOUTH – The Hawks average 68.8 points while allowing 86.2 points per game. Sophomore guard Abdi Bashir, Jr. leads the team in scoring at 21.6 points per game. Sophomore forward Cornelius Robinson III leads the team in rebounding at 7.6 boards per game. Monmouth has road losses to Michigan State, Northern Illinois, Rutgers, and Wichita State and a neutral site setback to Temple.
