LAST TIME OUT – Presbyterian won three games in less than 48 hours to capture the Axe'Em Classic title last week at Stephen F. Austin. The Blue Hose beat Monmouth, 71-61, in their final game of the Axe'Em Classic on November 23. Kobe Stewart led the Blue Hose with 17 points while dishing out six assists. Kory Mincy scored 16 points. Jamahri Harvey added 13 points to the Blue Hose's offensive attach. Jaylen Peterson tallied his first career double-figure rebounds game with 12 boards.
 
BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBERS – Presbyterian is averaging 75.6 points per game and 34.9 rebounds per game. The Blue Hose are shooting 48.1 percent from the field and 38.8 percent from beyond the three-point arc. Stewart leads three Blue Hose double-figure scorers averaging 14.5 points per game. Mincy is second on the team in scoring at 14.1 points while dishing out a team-leading 4.5 assists per game. Jonah Pierce is third on the team in scoring averaging 13.1 points while grabbing a team-leading 7.1 rebounds per game. Carl Parrish averages 7.1 points per game. Peterson is second on the team in rebounding averaging 6.4 boards per game and 5.6 points per game.
 
AXE'EM CLASSIC TITLE - The Blue Hose won the Axe'Em Classic title at Stephen F. Austin, November 21-23 with wins over Stephen F. Austin, Youngstown State, and Monmouth. Senior Kobe Stewart was named MVP of the Axe'Em Classic. This was the fourth straight season that the Blue Hose played in a tournament in the month of November. The Axe'Em Classic was the 13th regular-season tournament that PC has played in since moving to Division I in 2007-08.  In the 2021-22 season, the Blue Hose claimed the University of New Orleans Classic title with wins over New Orleans, VMI, and Central Arkansas. Last season, the Blue Hose won two games with victories over North Florida and Northwestern State in the First Coast Classic at North Florida.
 
BIG SOUTH PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Sophomore Kory Mincy was named Big South Co-Player of the Week on November 11. Mincy is the 10th player in the program's history to earn Big South Player of the Week honors. Mincy earned the award after averaging 18.7 points and eight assists in Presbyterian's home game against Carolina Christian and road games at Charlotte and NC State.
 
1,000 CAREER POINTS - Senior forward Jonah Pierce recorded his 1,000th point in his college career with a basket with six seconds left in the Charlotte game  (November 4). Pierce went over the 1,000 points mark in impressive fashion scoring 22 points (shooting a perfect 11-for-11 from the field) in the game. Pierce began the season by making his first 16 shots.
 
DOUBLE-DOUBLES - In the first eight games, the Blue Hose have had five double-double performances. Against Charlotte (November 4), Kory Mincy scored 17 points and dished out 10 assists. Against Carolina Christian (November 6) Mincy scored 11 points and tallied 10 assists. Against Wofford (November 13) senior guard Kobe Stewart recorded his first double-double of the season with 26 points and 10 rebounds.  Jonah Pierce had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds at Kennesaw State (November 16). Pierce picked up his second double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds against Stephen F. Austin (November 21).
 
 SCHOOL SCORING RECORD - Presbyterian scored a school Division I era record for points in a game with 120 in their season opening win over Carolina Christian (November 6). Presbyterian had six double-figure scorers and 12 PC players scored at least two points in the game.
 
DOUBLE DIGIT ASSISTS - Mincy began the season with consecutive 10 assists games at Charlotte and at home against Carolina Christian. In both those games, he scored in double-figures as well.
 
PC COACH QUINTON FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his sixth season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 50 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks who are coaching their alma maters.
 
PRESBYTERIAN-STEPHEN F. AUSTIN SERIES  – The series is tied at one game apiece with each team winning on the road. Tennessee Tech defeated Presbyterian, 79-75, in overtime in their last meeting in Clinton, S.C. last season on November 22, 2023. Pierce recorded a double-double in that game with 16 points and 12 rebounds. The Blue Hose defeated the Golden Eagles, 80-65, in their previous matchup in Cookeville, Tenn. on November 10, 2018. Francois Lewis led PC with 20 points in that game.
 
TENNESSEE TECH – The Golden Eagles enter the game with wins over Bryan College, West Georgia, and VMI and losses to Georgia, UTGRV, and most recently UCF. Tennessee Tech averages 73.7 points while allowing their opponents to average 77.3 points per game. Four TTU players average double-figures led by Rodney Johnson's 14.3 points per game. Johnson leads the team in rebounding at 5.5 boards per game.
