LAST TIME OUT
The Blue Hose went 2-0 last week after beating Longwood 67-52 at their place. Tilda Sjökvist led the team with 20 points, five assists, and three steals.
Christina Kline put up 13 points while shooting a perfect 3-of-3 from outside the arc.
Bryanna Brady led the team on the boards with eight rebounds. Presbyterian's bench has been stepping up tremendously throughout the last few games as they totaled 14 points against the Lancers.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Winthrop has a 6-6 conference record with wins over Longwood (x2), UNC Asheville (x2), Gardner-Webb, and Radford. The Eagles average 56.4 points per game and 36.8 rebounds per game. Junior guard Jada Ryce leads the team with 10.7 points per game, 1.8 steals per game, while also recording 2.4 assists per game. Junior forward Marissa Gasaway averages 8.8 points per game while shooting 40.2 percent from the field. She also leads the team with an average of 10.0 rebounds per game.
BLUE HOSE DOUBLE FIGURE SCORERS
Over their first 28 games, Presbyterian has had nine different players who have scored in double-figures. Brady (19 times), Sjökvist (18 times), Neira (13 times), Herrin (four times), Kline (four times) Kierscht (three times), Cunill (three times), Kindseth (twice), and Carrillo (once) have all tallied double-digit scoring games this season.
PRESBYTERIAN – WINTHROP SERIES
Wednesday marks the 34th time that these two teams have met since Presbyterian joined Division I in 2007. Their first game was in the 2007-08 season where Winthrop won 66-48. We saw action between the two teams earlier this season where Presbyterian won 59-43. Winthrop leads the all-time series between the two teams with a 17-16 record.

Mara Neira scored a three-point shot which was the 1000th point of her collegiate career. Later in the season the Blue Hose hosted the High Point Panthers for the team's breast cancer awareness game. Sixth year center
Bryanna Brady scored her 1000th career point with a free throw and 2:45 left in the game.
BIG SOUTH WEEKLY AWARDS
Presbyterian beat the Columbia College Koalas 62-53 on Sunday, December 31. Brady scored a new season-high of 27 points while shooting 73.3% (11-of-15) from the field. She also shot 62.5% (5-of-8) from the free throw line and dished out two assists. Defensively, Brady helped the team hold the Koalas to no points for almost 11 minutes in the second half. She added four rebounds and a block to her efforts. This is the second time that Brady earned this award and the fourth Big South Player of the Week award that the Blue Hose have received so far this season.
