CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College Blue Hose women's tennis team (6-6) lost to the College of Charleston Cougars (3-3) with a final score of 5-2.
DOUBLES
The Cougars took the doubles point after winning the first two matches, but
McKenzie Davis and
Mathilde Delaney defeated Charleston's Maggie Cubitt and Halli Trinkle 6-4 at the No. 1 slot.
SINGLES
Charleston won the first two singles matches at the No. 6 and No. 5 positions before
Lucianna Piedra took down the Cougar's Anna Neyestani at the No. 4 slot with a score of 6-2, 6-7 (2-7), 6-1. Charleston clinched the match with their fourth point at the No. three spot before
McKenzie Davis earned one for the Blue Hose after beating Charleston's Halli Trinkle at the No. 1 spot with a score of 7-6 (7-2), 6-7 (6-8), 10-5. The Cougars ended the match with a win at the No. 2 position.
